Good inverter
Good inverter plus battery charger and transfer switch. Make sure to have it in utility mode and not battery priority mode is you are installing in a Rv or van. I had error messages and it won’t charge your battery until the voltage drops really low in the battery priority mode. If you camp at parks or are able to plug in to power sometimes leave it off of battery priority mode. This is done with the dip switch settings.

End the search for which inverter you will get...
This is a 5 star inverter. Let's talk about why. First off, I got it in 2 days from when I ordered. Great. Before I ordered, I had a simple technical question or two. I called the company (@ 10am EST) but got no answer. Their USA location is in Cali and it's 7am there, no wonder I got no answer. I didn't leave a voice-mail. A few hours later I get a call from a number I don't recognize and don't answer it. I get a voice-mail and check it to find out, a woman from SunGold Power called me saying they had a missed call from my number "how can we help you?". In the mean time I figured out my technical questions on my own. Upon receiving my SunGold 3kw inverter/charger, I read the manual front to back, (which I had already done because it is available on the Amazon page). I lined up some 4/0 awg cable and a 300a fuse and block. I emailed them to confirm my cable size and fuse size and also inquire about the generator auto start function. I was quickly emailed back with answers to all of my questions (and a diagram). My setup I am installing an off grid power system in a custom shuttle bus to motorhome conversion. I have a 4500watt inverter generator w key for remote and electric start. I grabbed a 30amp RV cable, ran it through my floor, wired it up to the inverter as well as everything else; in the custom enclosure build for it. Going to a lifepo4 battery bank. Crossed my fingers, Cranked er up, and she was purring. The inverter ran my microwave off a battery fine. Laptop, screen, whatever. The auto transfer switch did exactly what it is supposed to do during tests and when shutting off my generator without killing the load. The charger is omgfast. 90amps max charge rate on the 3000w unit is sweeeet.. It doesn't have a few bells and whistles like Bluetooth, no usb. But it doesn't need it. It does what it is designed to do phenomenally. The company emailed me a week+ later to see how my installation went and offer an extended warranty. NOW THAT IS ABOVE AND BEYOND. Value for $. For a product that has a company backing it and a USA prescence (whether chinese or not), and at this price point IS A KILLER DEAL. If you still don't know which inverter to get for your build, email Sungold a question and their customer service will help you make your decision. PS I paid for my item out of my money. I've seen every single inverter available to buy. This is the winner if you aren't going to drop $3k on v*ctron. Good luck.

I use the Sun Gold 3000w inverter charger to replace a similar unit in my all electric e-trek RV. It has four 200ah lithium batteries that run everything. I set what I thought were the settings that would work with my rig. Battery type to lithium, DIP switch to utility preferred we’re the setting. When I turned on the unit the lights for shore power and rapid charge would come on along with the alarm light and a pulsating alarm. The unit would not charge the batteries. I contacted the company by email. Initially there were two problems. The first that the email turnaround took a full day (The response must have been coming from halfway around the world). The second was that they wanted video of the problem which I couldn’t send by email because of its size. They agreed to use stills and were able to correct the problem easily with just a change of the battery type setting that allowed the charger to come on at a higher voltage. The unit is now working beautifully. Be patient, the process may take days because of the turnaround time on email, they will stick with it until the problem is resolved.

Love it! Absolutely perfect for my tiny home on wheels.
Once I figured out the dipswitches it was no maintenance, no worries. You choose the priority between battery and utility power. It switches automatically. Uses barely any power to have the inverter on. And if it senses no power draw it sleeps but you can set it to check every three seconds or less frequently. If I'm plugged into power it automatically switches to show power and if power goes out flips right back to battery. The only thing I didn't like was the seriously tiny plastic nob to control battery charge. It broke a soon as I touched it. Sun gold immediately sent me a tiny bag of replacement nobs. Great customer service but if I'm going to nit pick could have designed that a little sturdier, everything else in the build is heavy duty and strong. It does take up some serious real estate and it's heavy but when you consider this takes the place of a controller/ charger, a 3000 watt inverter, and a transfer switch is not so bad. Does have an automatic generator plug but I have yet to try that. I have to fix my generator first. Haven't needed it really. I can run my 12000 btu minisplit with this inverter on my battery power only, no problem. And it charges my 200 ah lithium battery fast. Highly recommend.
