I like that it is short.
It works good for me because I’m short.

Good apron
I purchased this because traditional tool belts put too much weight and strain on my hips. This apron is made of a sturdy yet flexible canvas material and has adjustable straps that clip together in the back. I have a larger chest (being a woman) so the fit didn’t work for me. I passed it along to a male co worker and he loves it. Nice deep pockets varying in sizes to accommodate tools or different shapes and sizes. This is an easy way to tote them around without having to wonder where you sat down your pencil or screwdriver. Perfect for holding your nails and screws and nothing jostles out because the pockets sit slightly higher on the torso in comparison to a typical tool belt. Highly recommend (unless you have large breasts ????)

I Like This Apron
I've had this apron about a week now and have probably worn it around 40 hours. It's the second apron I've used/worn. I like it a lot and wouldn't change much about it. I don't carry a lot in an apron but I like having a thick pencil, a .5mm pencil, a 6" combination square, and a small tape measure in the apron. I like the little bit of protection from sawdust. At times I'll also carry other things like screws or nails, additional ruler, rag, etc. I had been using a cheap (perhaps $4) apron from Lowe's. The Lowe's apron had large pockets at the top and my pencils either fall out or I have to clip them in. The lower pockets kind of flop around instead of holding anything snug or close to my body so they aren't banging into things. It had thin straps that 1) went around my neck and 2) had to be tied behind my back. The material is fairly thin cotton, like worn blue jeans. I looked at a lot of different aprons and read about other people's experiences with them. I really wanted something that seemed heavier and more durable. I don't know what this apron is made of but it is cerainly heavier. I wanted something that didn't have the single neck strap but I didn't think I'd like the cross your back style either. This apron seemed like a good compromise - the neck strap is attached to the waist strap, giving some relief to your neck. This apron has a plastic clasp that attaches at your side - no more tying the thin, almost shoe lace size straps on my other apron. There are 2 pencil pockets that hold my 2 selected pencils perfectly (a wide Home Depot carpenter pencil and a mechanical pencil). My combi square is held more securely and tighter to my side so it's not banging into things. The only improvement I would like is what someone else mentioned - it'd sure be nice if the bottom of the pockets had mesh in them to allow sawdust to fall through. Perhaps some could have the mesh and some could be solid but have flaps over them - that way you could carry nails or screws in the solid bottom pockets but still not get them full of sawdust nor would the items fall out. If it's still available when mine wears out I'd certainly get another one!

Durable
I've had this model before, as well as the 'almost the same' Bucket Boss. I think the Dickeys is in the same league (probably all made by the same OEM; pick your option). For the price, buy it. Nothing else that distributes weight well that's cheaper. Reasonably durable. The Bucket Boss has slightly different shoulder straps with sliding pads. I went to the Bucket Boss after wearing out my first Arsenal. I didn't really notice the difference, but I don't carry a heavy load. I bought this one to experiment with sewing the torso up so the pouches are above my waste line. I get frustrated when things fall out due to squatting/kneeling and the pockets are horizontal. I have my old one to experiment with -- this one would be sewn better as the old one is torn/worn. Not a durability statement -- you only wear out something because it's junk or because you use it. I use this one. I added wrap/velcro magnetic pads to the shoulder straps from Atlas 46. Like the Atlas, wallet hasn't taken me there yet (at some point of experimenting with a shorter torso, that will happen). Also, added a magnet to the inside of the larger upper pocket. Works well for holding hardware while installing/assembling. I do not find this makes much temperature difference. I use a cheap fake carabiner (the key chain style) to hold the area where the waist and the Y strap meet to a belt loop when I will be wearing it awhile. That keeps it from drooping. Not a unique problem to this. I wear suspenders with carpenter bags too.

ALMOST the perfect tools vest but consider it perfect at this price
I am a remodeling contractor and have bought at least ten tool belts and vests over the course of my career. I even made one from a husky bucket bag ????. This vest is far and above the best option I’ve found to keep tools with me while I work. The hammer holders are key and the pockets are carried and can accommodate a lot of different tools. Some cons: It could have some deeper pockets. It would be great if the vest had another tier of pockets below the belt line at tool belt height-smaller items have a tendency of falling out when you bend over (then again it teaches you to bend with your legs which is actually probably a good thing.) I wear this vest all day most days. Because I carry a decent number of tools with me the shoulders can end up digging in and feeing uncomfortable. I’m sure this is something I could easily remedy with some padding once I get around to it. In summary This vest is incredible. At this price point, I cannot believe its features and quality. It’s worth at least twice what they’re selling it for and while I can think of some improvements (customized to me for the most part), this is all around a great vest. As far as fit goes: It fits really well. I am 5’ 10”, 170. It may be highly adjustable but I can’t speak to that. I wear knee pads and work on my knees a good bit. This beats any tool belt.

Perfect.
Nice and lightweight with enough pockets for rules, pencils, squares etc.

Lots of space
Durable, not too hot. Lots of pockets for the coins I need to carry which means less walking back to the office. Amazing.

Good small shop apron
I feel this shop apron is ideal for wood workers, at home carpenters who work in their garages. i would not use this apron professionally as i feel it would not hold up to the more rigorous on the job conditions
