Foam board adhered to concrete frost walls

Pleasantly surprised by how well and how fast this works. I didn't use any mechanical fasteners and applied 2' x 8' foam boards to the inside perimeter of 4' high concrete frost walls. With a few exceptions, I didn't brace or support this walls, just ran 5 vertical beads of the Sika adhesive down the 2' dimension of the foam board and pressed into place. Walls weren't perfectly smooth but the adhesive still grabbed and held after 20 or 30 seconds. Temps were nearly ideal, 80* outside and the walls had been in the sun most of the day-not sure if this would be as fun @ much lower temps. I used almost one tube per two 2' x 8' sheets, so it doesn't go far but well worth the time and materials saved if you had to brace/support/wait for them to stick.

Received a used Sikaflex Insulation Sealant & Adhesive. As seen in the photos, the tip was already cut before and the bottom, I can clearly see some of it was already used.

Not good at all.

The media could not be loaded. It doesn't even hold a little piece of foam. I have wasted the entire tube and it doesn't work.

Works great

I only used this to put up a small piece of foam insulation, and seal around a window. It was easy to apply, and held the foam firmly in place the moment I installed it. The bead around the window dried quickly. It hasn't been very long yet but no cracking or drying out that I can see.

Time will tell how well this seals, made in USA

We have an old house and used this sealant for two drafty kitchen windows, using it both inside and outside where needed. Only time will tell how well it holds up, but so far so good. We had no issues with it bonding or staying in place. Our house is white on the outside and our kitchen happens to be white and the sealant is white, so I don’t know if you can easily paint over it or not. We’re pleased and have had no issues with this product.

Holds firm

I had an unusual use case for this as I wanted to attach some 3" R15 foam insulation board to the inside of my 19' camper door. It being 30+ years old it comes equipped with a door that barely amounts to 2 thin metal sheets with an frosted window. So I cut and shaped 2 pieces of foam insulation to fit the door, then used this Sikaflex Adhesive to bond it to the door after applying thin strips around it. I did use pressure to hold it in place for a few hours after affixing it to ensure a secure bond - and it worked. It's been on the door that gets opened multiple times a day for 3+ months now without a budge. I would grab this stuff again in a heartbeat if I needed to adhere some insulation sheets simply because if it can hold up with the repeated motion of the door I trust that applying this in wall construction or other locations I need to setup insulation is going to be secure and stay in place .
