Size, security, comfort

I love this backpack. It’s just the right size for me and feels extremely comfortable against my back. I feel secure knowing that the clasp locks so it will give a potential thief a bit of a challenge to unhook it. I also love the rfid blocking for my credit cards/passport. The anti-slash features for the straps and bottom of the bag are an added plus! A great little bag!

Perfect size for travel

I just received this so haven’t had a chance to use it. Going on a trip to Europe and wanted something small to carry with me. Having some back issues, I wanted a small backpack instead of something over one shoulder. I attached a picture with measurements. It’s lightweight. It’ll definitely carry my wallet, sunglasses, phone, water, small umbrella. Pretty much anything I’d need. It has some slots for credit cards, as well as a slot for a phone or passport, and another large zippered pocket. I took a star off just because the straps are mesh, which I knew, but not sure they are cut resistant (not going to try and find out). And the lock on the main compartment seems cheap. It works but I have another Travelon bag and that locking mechanism just “seems” sturdier. I also wish the front pocket had a way to lock it but I’ll just put nonessentials in there, like my chapstick. Addendum: I used this on my recent trip. It was great-held my wallet, passport, travel umbrella, water bottle, scarf, beanie. Held a lot. Even though it’s smaller, I still had to check it at some museums. My biggest disappointment was in the straps. They were fine but uncomfortable at times as there is no padding. And the metal thing for lengthening or shortening the straps happened to sit near my armpits so I could feel,them. I wanted to carry my pack higher on my back, not lower. And the straps started curling at the bottom of the pack. Not a big deal. I was really happy with all it could carry so that outweighed the unhappiness with the straps.

This one was the keeper

I literally bought every smallish backpack Travelon makes, and this is the keeper. I honestly didn't think this would be the one I kept but it definitely ended up being the best one for me. First of all the straps are a soft, brushed feel. It isn't rough nylon with rough stitching like their other backpacks. I think this will feel much nicer when I wear tank tops. Second of all I liked the fabric. Not all travelon nylon material is the same. Some is rougher and this one was a bit smoother. I don't find hair and lints getting stuck on this one like one of the other bags I had. Third, And this was probably the biggest reason I kept it, when wearing this you can take it off your right shoulder move it around under your left and get into the purse while it has stayed attached to you. All the other travelons I tried either had a flap or the way that they opened is either impossible or incredibly awkward to do this. If you don't mind taking your backpack off, setting it on something in front of you in order to be able to effectively unzip it, then maybe that would work for you, but I like my bag to stay attached to me. Fourth reason, I kind of like the curve at the top. I'm an incredibly narrow person as it is in the square looks of the other backpacks just looked a lot larger on my back. Fifth reason, this bag was a little less stiff, and packs completely flat. I usually only travel with a carry-on backpack, sometimes on flights where I am fitting under the personal item size, which means I cannot carry an additional purse. I pack this away in my larger backpack until I get to my destination. The only thing I don't really like about this purse is the zipper polls seem a little bit cheaper and flimsy or than some of the other travelons, and I really don't like how the front zipper didn't lock, so I just used a clip from lanyard and some keychain rings and made my own. It works.

Love the size and locking

Some people have complained that they cannot lock the front zipper. Actually you can lock it to the big around zipper. Pull it to the front zipper and voila, you can lock front and the all over one together. I love the size. I can throw everything in. Keep my keys in front with lipstick (most used items).. Two pockets inside whre I put glasses and phone. A big zipper area inside where I keep important items, and then I just throw everything else in. I can also put in a sweater and or a hat. LIttle but mighty. The reason I pay for Travelon, is the locking zippers and the clasp where I can attach my purse to a chair or other item making it harder for someone to walk away with my purse. I am an older lady, and feel this purse is so light, I hardly know it is there. Carried it all over the Med for two weeks. Fabric is not necessarily pretty, but it is practical and neutral.

Love everything about this bag. Just wish it came in spring colors as well. Pastels.
