USED NOT NEW WITH DAMAGED PACKAGING

The media could not be loaded. Bought two NEW BUT PACKAGE DAMAGED fans one was what was advertised the second well you can see from the photos and video it was used heavily for a season and returned the unit was loose in the packaging and moldy and shakes while making a weird noise the other one doesn't do that. I work at Home Depot people do this to us all the time. Am going to have to return this for a different one. Please send what I actually ordered this is a returned open box at best.

Summer is going to be here soon, and it cools as well as the smaller Arctic Air coolers.

Used to have a room AC, my mom got new windows and wouldn't allow another AC unit in the window. It works almost as well.

Cooling

It’s fine as a regular fan. The cooling part is not as great as I expected and you have to keep on freezing the bottle as it melts after a few hours of use. But it’s ok.

Really wanted to love it...but I don't.

I have a mini evaporative cooler that I bought hastily and fell in love with. I saw this and got excited by the prospect of a larger, more powerful version to help keep my pets cool (no A/C in the apt) yet try as I might, I don't even like it... My big issues with this device are: 1) the 'wet' filter does not stay wet so the evaporative cooling function does not seem to work. In fact, this fan seems less powerful than my little 10" one (i.e. how far the air blows and how cool it feels with water and/or ice added) which makes me wonder if the filter actually impedes its function. I'd love to test this but the fan won't work without the filter in it. (Side note: I didn't notice a big difference in humidity levels, but my geographic location is not the best to test this. I will say that my little one that 'spritzes' water as a mist into the air rather than use a 'wet' filter seems to be more effective for my dry skin with long term, nearly constant use.) 2) the 'nightlight' on mine is either nonexistent or it is only referring to the backlit buttons on the top touchscreen display. 3) the water tank is not fully removable and therefore a huge pain to fill and clean. There are so many other versions now - with upgraded features including a remote, fully removable water tank, and more wind styles to name a few - for around the same price that this fan just doesn't live up to my expectations nor its competitors. I really wanted to love it, but sadly, this is basically just a really expensive tower fan. I gave it two stars because the shipping was fast and the fan is relatively quiet.

works well except for the water spraying out of the front

After priming the water curtain/filter with cold tap water and filling the reservoir with filtered water, it performed well. After running it for an hour, water started spraying out near the curtain's reservoir. I tried cleaning out the port at the top to clean of any debris and that did not work. I was forced to empty the tank and dry everything enough to use it without using the reservoir tank to replenish moisture in the water curtain. Repriming the water curtain with cold tap water will work for now until I can afford to replace it. I would be too much of a hassle returning it without an available alternative air cooler therefore, I will have to use it as is. The water curtain is too long to fit in my apartment's refrigerator freezer for the added cooling effect. This cooler performs well as an air cooler therefore, the only defect is with the directing of water into the curtain's reservoir instead of out of the front and onto my carpet.

Its worth it if your upstairs room is stuffy

I bought 2 of these for our rooms upstairs and they help alot! I highly recommend this product if your room is upstairs and it gets stuffy in the summer. Also even if you run it as a fan only it actually runs cooler than a normal fan. Its worth it!!

ERROR DE DISEÑO.

The media could not be loaded. Dicen quea vida de un Ingeniero es resolver problemas. Señores de ARCTIC AIR les acabo de resolver su problema en su ventilador. Su producto al parecer es de Calidad. Pero sus ingenieros ¡¡No.!! La potencia es "buena." Pero tienen un detalle con el si lo del agua. PROBLEMAS. 1. El chico de llenado es muy rápido. 2. La bandeja superior es muy pequeña. 3. La bandeja superior no tiene desagüe. 4. La absorción de las bandas transportadoras es muy lenta a diferencia de llenado. SOLUCIONES. 1.Bajar la velocidad del ciclo del viaje de agua. 2. Bajando la velocidad no se tendía que modificar el tamaño de la bandeja. 3. Colocar puntos de desagüe para que el agua al llegar al límite no se derrame. 4. Colocar aperturas de paso para el rápido flujo y la rápida absorción de las bandas. En general.. Se baja la velocidad del ciclo de llenado, se solocan desagües oh aperturas de fácil absorción de bandas y con eso se soluciona. Por el momento el producto solo me sirve, sin llenar la bandeja de agua. Oh, para mojar la parrilla y meterla al congelador. NO RECOMIENDO EL PRODUCTO.

No lo recomiendo

Es un producto accesible en cuanto a precio m, con respecto a otras ofertas del mercado, y muy bonito en términos de diseño, pero con varios inconvenientes: primero, la manguera que va del aparato a la bandeja es muy corta; tuve que ponerle una extensión; eso ayudó a que dejara de tirar agua. El nivel alto se siente como medio, así que le falta potencia. A los dos días de recibirlo, el modo swing dejó de funcionar. Leí que a otro usuario le pasó igual. Lástima, porque me había gustado mucho. Ojalá que lo rediseñen y vuelvan a lanzar, porque fuera de eso es un producto compacto y útil cuando tienes poco espacio.
