Only One Drawback...........

Great design............ but when it comes to emptying the bag who ever designed the zipper location is definitely not a woodworker. The zipper should have gone around the edges or at least half way around. The point.....it is difficult to empty, not just difficult but a pain-n-the-!!! Billed "makes emptying a breeze", then I suggest someone at Powertec fill a bag full and empty it.

Works as described

Needed a new one as the old one got a hole in the see thru plastic. Works fine. At the price I keep an extra on hand in case I have a problem.

get a 6 inch hose clamp

great bag very thick material almost 3/8 inch thick so get yourself a 6 inch hose clamp if the hose is 4 inches in diameter also mine came with a zipper on the bottom even though they advertise there isn't one

Fit my 14.5" PSI dust collector

I just installed this on an old Penn State Industries (PSI) dust collector. It's the single-stage, 1HP model with a 14.5" filter drum (DC-1HP). The bag fit nice and tight, with no stretching even though the drum is 14.5", instead of 14". Most important, there are no creases, which tend to leak. Fits perfect. I recently upgraded the filter to a Wynn Environmental nano cartridge filter (which you can see in the photo). That filter shipped with 2 giant plastic bags that had to be folded over about 5-6" in order to fit. Anyway, this POWERTEC bag fits much better and I'm thrilled to have those original cloth bags in the trash where they belong. Just a tip: I also had an old rubber "tire" from a 14" bandsaw, which I used as a kind of gasket around the filter drum. So the band clamp bears down on the rubber tire instead of the metal drum. This makes for a nice air-tight fit. These bags seem to be very well made, just as thick and durable as the giant ones that shipped with the new filter. Price is $11.99 as of this writing, which is a really good value for 5 bags. At that price, I'll probably just use these as disposable bags rather than transferring dust to another bag, which is a really messy and unhealthy chore.

1 MICRON w/zipper!

It might look too big for your unit but it's not. Buy it, love it. 1 micron. I'm using a 4" hose clamps.

Good value and durability

Good thick bags that can be emptied and reused or thrown out. I’ll reuse them until they get a tear. Haven’t had to replace one yet. These fit my 14 inch grizzly perfectly. I was worried about having an extra inch because they are sold as 15 inch bags but they fit great. I also bought the powertec clamps with springs with these. Great combo and no dust leakage.
