Plastic Tip

Not super sharp! Very difficult to puncture heavy duty 1/2” line. I would buy something with a metal tip instead.

This tool works.

It works, that's all you need to really know. I misplaced the punch I originally purchased (I'm sure it's somewhere in my garden), and used an awl to puncture a hole in the hose, and it leaked like crazy. So I mended the leak, ordered this replacement tool and it punctures just the right size hole. It's a little expensive given it's just a piece of plastic, but it does the trick .

I'm happy I didn't waste my money

I almost bought the "deluxe" model of this tool for more than 3 times the price. I'm happy I didn't waste my money. This simple little tool works perfectly! It's a convenient size to keep in one's pocket and it easily punctures holes in the tubing as needed. If I lost or misplaced this one, I'd replace it in an instant!

This is very simple and punches well. The hole sometimes seems a little smaller than what it should be but it's better than being too large.

Very Handy for assembly of Blue Stripe Hoses.

This worked very well to make the right size holes when inserting emitters and barbs for my drip hoses. I tried making holes with a utility knife at first and I ended up making them too large, and the pieces fell out. This tool is worth it to make assembly super simple.

Get what you pay for

A free drip hose punch came with a package of hose I'd bought, & I got what I paid for - it literally ruined the hose, causing leaks at every junction. Pay the small price & get this punch, its a good'un.
