Velcro with no adjustable waist

Nice quality pant, however it was secured by velcro and did not have an adjustable waist - it just wouldn’t have worked for my son.

I'm not sold on the Velcro closure system

This was an interesting idea that definitely has merit, especially for younger kids but once they get to be 7 or 8, you figure they should be able to use buttons. On the larger sizes, the Velcro just doesn't hold together well enough to help preserve that clean look. The seams open up and starts to look sloppy. The garment is otherwise made well, and for young kids, I wouldn't hesitate to use this system. That being said, it does have its drawbacks and doesn't work as well as I hoped

Nice Pants but velcro closure is disappointing!

Ordered this to pair with the suit jacket I have from the same brand and they went perfectly along, making a two-piece suit. They look classy together paired with a T-shirt. The pants are well-made and well-stitched, and the material is comfortable to wear. Looking at the fitting it is a bit longer but they fit him well along his waist with a belt, I may hemm them temporarily. Having said that, my son is too skinny so mostly won't need a belt. The only part my son is uneasy with is the Velcro closing, I believe they could have rather added a zipper and hook if not buttons than the Velcro itself to make it much better at comfort. Apart from that, it’s the perfect slim dress pants.

Fits my 13 y/o perfect too small for 12 year old.

I ordered these actually for my son, who is taller for his age. They worked out for his older brother who is smaller. My 13 year old is 5ft2 and weighs about 87lbs. These fit him perfectly. I would say they run smaller, and are more tailored. He usually is a size 12 in pants. These are 14 and fit just right, with no room to spare. What I like, These are well made and comfortable. I like that they are creased, traditional dressed pants. He said he actually like the velcro fastener instead of buttons and zipper. The only con I can see is that after time the Velcro could loose it’s effectiveness. Overall, decent pants and good quality. ????????

Casual feel, classy and sophisticated look.

This Review is for the Van Heusen Boys' Adaptive Flex Stretch Flat Front Dress Pants, Velcro Closure at Waist & Leg Opening. These fit my son well, look sophisticated, are stretch pants with an easy Velcro closure so you get the look of classy attire but the feeling of casual and comfortable, it was easy for my child to put on and take off, overall fairly priced, easy to put on and take off, feels comfortable but looks classy.

Nice Material and fit

I have a little som who is growing like a weed, so the first thing I look for when buying him clothes are if they have some element of flex. But being a fashion guy, I also want him to look fly as well. These pants fit both categories, and while its a bit slim size wise, its well made and had a decent bit of stretch. I recommend it, but would probably recommend you order a size bigger for your child

Poor Design

These pants did not work at all. They were too short and small. The velcro kept popping off everytime my son sat down. He said they were uncomfortable. The fit and feel was not good and it was poorly designed.
