Battery Mystery Solved!
I wasn’t sure what the problem was so I tried lithium batteries and they still were consumed quickly. Then I wanted to see the location of the sensor might be less than optimal. I had one mounted above a door and another to the side of a door leading into the garage so it would be guarantee that when the door even opened a foot or so the light would turn on. I believe the problem is it can’t be too close to a surface because the sensor sees this as an object and keeps bouncing reflections off it? I don’t know. All I can say is having to relocated the sensor so it’s clear in front of it, nothing above it nothing below it left or right, aimed at the door, the batteries have lasted 2 weeks plus Previous - Three AAA’s every 2-4 days. Lithium AAA lasted 5 days. Not very sustainable but it’s just more landfill waste to have my lights come on…

Don't buy 2
These work GREAT, but there is no way to adjust the frequency. Thay are all on the same frequency. If you use one to light up your Christmas tree, and another to light a lamp in another room, either sending unit triggers both receivers. The sending range is at least 30 feet. If your units are further apart, they might work. Great for one, iffy for two. It is an interesting way to find out if someone in an apartment or condo near your's uses these.

Perfect for our closet
I wanted our closet light to turn on when the door was opened and turn off when it was closed. I tried several products to do this that were easy to install and reliable. This was perfect.

The door switch is great
I'm using 2 of these. One on a coat closet, and the other in a small reach-in pantry. They are controlling power to an AC/DC transformer that powers a 16' LED strip on the inside of the door trim. They strike almost instantly when the door is opened. I was able to mount the smaller strip to the top door stop, and the transmitter to the door just below it. Time will tell how often I have to replace the batteries, but so far they've showed no sign of trouble. Edit: Update 12/1/2020 - We moved to a new house, and I've now purchased several more of these. I still love them, and think they make an ideal solution for closet lighting. But.....GE has changed the packaging. It is now just a flimsy cardboard & plastic clam shell design connected at the top with a single dot of glue at the bottom. I don't know if it is the heat in the Amazon warehouse, or just subpar glue, but the clams shell opens up REALLY easy, to the point that pieces fall out before they get into the shipping box. Of the 5 new sets I ordered (1 at a time), only 1 of them showed up with all of the pieces the first time. One of them showed up as just product package, with nothing in it. Amazon was great about replacing them all. Just something to watch out for. The package SHOULD contain the plug in module, the transmit module, and a little white magnet piece.

It takes a few wiggles
Mine doesn’t seem to work for a while after install. Which means that I set it all up and it didn’t turn the light off after ten minutes of no motion. I don’t know what finally did make it work as it should, aka turn off, but it finally did. I don’t know what it is not functioning the first time or two it is plugged in, but after a bunch of plugging in and unplugging, it does work now. Why doesn’t it work the way it should the first three times it is plugged in??

Garage Door Application Works Great
Got tired of my family leaving the garage door open at night so I bought this gadget. I installed the sensors on my garage door (as shown in picture). Now when the door is open I have a light that comes on in the the hallway in the house. I put Velcro on the transmitter side with the battery to make it easier to change when the battery goes dead. It transmits about 70 feet and through my garage and through a steel door. I marked my rating down one star because it came with a dead transmitter battery.

Handles two 200+watt outside LED stadium lamps - No problem.
I made a simple WP container out of a small Rubbermaid plastic food container from Wally's and mounted it on a tree. The receiver is only semi-protected. (for a month so far..) I first used it with a small, flat LED panel ~50w ...then simply threw it at the big lamps. I ONLY wish I could set the timer. It is an alarm lamp for a 1/4mi long driveway and 5min would have been enough. This does give the security camera time to switch to a daylight setting ...which gives a better recorded image than IR. This is my second ..likely not the last. Jim
