A smart kitchen brush

I absolutely love this vegetable brush. My last one was a wooden "Mushroom" type, but the wood eventually gave way to the excessive use. The other thing I love about this one is that the convenient cover acts as a stand for the brush when drying and prevents the brush from collecting schmutz in the drawer.

Great Brush — Nearly Impossible to Open

I bought this brush as a replacement for a similar one I have been using for years. It’s a wonderful little brush for cleaning mushrooms, but it’s too soft for cleaning most other vegetables. The main problem I had was getting the darned cover off. I see from other questions about this brush that many others were having a similar complaint. Instead of using kitchen shears or a hammer, I think I found a way to remove the cover. Grasp the cover VERY tightly in one hand between your thumb and index finger and simultaneously place the thumb on your other hand under the lip of a brush head and push the brush head away from the cover. It was very difficult to do, but I finally had success. You can bet your bottom dollar that the cover will never be used as a cover again! Good brush, horrible cover.

Great mushroom cleaner

This is the perfect size brush for cleaning mushrooms. It's easy to clean and I really like the plastic cap that snaps over the bristles after cleaning and drying. I would purchase again

If you are lucky enough to get the top off, it's great

Not easy to get the storage top off but a very nice brush. I thought I was going to have to send it back. Even vice grips didn't budge it. Then I squeezed in in several place with the vice grip, so much that some of the bristles were pressed on and voila! It popped off. Good luck!

How to separate clear plastic covering from top

First of all I love this. When I received it I tried twisting, pulling to get the clear plastic protection for the brush off. I then read how people had used saws and many other forms. I took out my eye glasses mini screw driver and using the flat tipped one pushed it up between the plastic cover and the mushroom shaped top and gave a little pry and it popped right apart. The bottom can still be used to protect the brush but don't put it far up.
