Works well
For those with just the basic skills and knowledge of safe use of a drill, this installs fairly easily. Just remember to measure twice so you only have to drill once. This cover does what it's supposed to do. It allows us to keep the vent open when it's raining. I SUGGEST YOU DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VENTS OPEN WHILE TRAVELLING. There is a low pressure spot that occurs at the rear side of the vent while moving that will allow road dust to get sucked into your RV.

Won't allow actual crank up vent to open fully
We have a run-of-the-mill Forest River product with a crank up vent over the bed. We had been awakened one too many times by rain landing on the bed, and I wanted to be able to leave the vent open during the day without fear of a sudden pop up rainstorm causing problems so I decided it was time for a cover. This one had good quality hardware, and appears well made. The only problem is that the original vent hits the top of this cover before it is fully open. I hope it won't make a huge impact on how much air it flows. It fits the width of the original vent just fine, so I had assumed that it would allow for the vent to open fully also. Didn't happen.

Getting everything lined up properly
It was fairly simple to install but you need to make sure you have it centered correctly. this makes a big difference on drilling the holes and the actual vent lid cranking up.

Exact fit
As advertised, exact fit to replace original to my trailer.

About the same as the Camco for less money.
Works very well to keep water and snow out of the ceiling vent. Easy installation, and we'll see how well it holds up to the sun and weather. This MAXXAIR cover is essentially the same as the Camco cover I have on a different vent, with the exception of the screen arrangement and size. It also cost a lot less that the Camco.
