Just what I needed
I can't explain how badly I needed this. I have like 3 mesh strainers that was use to strain water from the pasta. Which isn't great due to the fact that pasta gets stuck and is difficult to clean. But with this thing. Nothing gets stuck and easy to clean.

Heavy duty
This colander is very similar to one my grandma had and used for about 39 years. It's tough steel and the holes are large. Might be a problem for draining spaghetti but after trying it, very few noodles escaped into the sink. The handles are robot welded from the look of it.

Well constructed and looks great
I’ve used it numerous times and it still looks shiny and has maintained its balance and quality. I always hand wash and rinse with HOT water. This helps it maintain its shine with no water spots

Large, good quality stainless steel colander
I was looking for a while for a stainless steel colander that had a bottom that could rest on my sink when I strained pasta etc. and this looked to be a good choice at the right price point. When it arrived I was surprised how large it is - I neglected to really consider that one quart equals one litre so this colander has a five litre capacity (if you want to get metric). I have had it for several months and it is great, it is easy to clean and keep clean - unlike the plastic ones.
