Great for "lighter" duty!

I bought this to replace my old and bulky tower after my older, 18 lb cat passed away. I have a smaller, 11 lb cat that is de-clawed and wanted to have it in case he wanted to use it to sit by my home office window. I wouldn't recommend it for a larger cat that needs more space to lounge as the top isn't long enough to stretch out length wise like my older one was. Also, since it's fake fur it doesn't seem it would be as tough as carpet. It works great for my needs but with a younger more active cat, I'd go for a more substantial one. All in all, it looks nice, doesn't take up too much room and my cat already has enjoyed a nap in the cubby at the bottom and lastly, the price was right.

Cats like it, after some modification

The cats love this tower and spend a lot of time playing and sleeping on it. It's sturdy, solid, and fairly easy to assemble. I did, however, have to remove a couple parts. The first is the upright tube on the 2nd level. Between that tube, the four support pillars, the hole allowing access to the floor level, the hanging rope, and the hanging mouse, there was absolutely no place for the cats to actually stand, let alone jump up onto. I also removed the sling/hammock hanging below the 2nd level. Even though my cats were very young when I bought this for them they had no interest in sleeping on or in the hammock, again, it just got in the way. Once I removed these parts they fell in love.

Good Value

Cats are finicky. Sometimes my cat will play or nap on this casita and other times she will ignore it for days at a time. It was surprisingly easy to assemble. Take note that one of the tubes are longer than the other two. The quality is alright. I did not pay a premium for this so I can not complain. So far everything is in tact except for the dangly toy that came with. My cat made sure to murder that mouse on the first day we got it. It is also easy to move so if you are in the mood of rearranging your home know that it won't be a struggle. I would definitely recommend this casita to any pet owner on a budget.

Not for us

It's okay.... I think this would be best for a small cat or kitten. Pros: - The product was relatively easy to put together. - Good height - I like the coloring - soft fabric Complaints: - Not very study - I can put my hand on it and it wiggles pretty easily despite the screws being all the way in. - The middle tier and top tier are right on top of each other - vertically speaking. I would have preferred the posts to be off different corners of each board rather than in the direct center so that it's actually manageable for your cat to get to the top. My cat would jump directly to the middle tier and would get stuck. Your cat needs to be an extreme contortionist grabbing the top tier and hanging his back feet off before pulling himself up, unless your cat can jump super high and get on the top that way. - While the fabric is very soft, it's also VERY thin. There isn't much cushion for your kitty

My cat doesnt seem to care for it,

I got the 40 inch version. It did assemble in about 30 minutes, would have been less if the directions were clear, and I followed them. I also spent over half the time unscrewing and re-screwing so that Igot the right parts in the right order. As far as sturdiness goes, its wobbly. It feels like thick cardboard or fiberboard, and when I lifed the base I could feel how thin the walls were. Not bad for the price considering my cat won't go near it. \

cheap, cheap, cheap!

I've bought many cat trees over the years, and this one has to be the worst I've ever seen! The wood shelves are about half the thickness of our other cat trees, and the "fur" is about 1/16" thick. The shelves are the same size, which makes it difficult for our cats to get from one shelf to the next higher one! At $60, it was less than what we've paid in the past, and this is a case of you get what you pay for. The trouble is, it weighs so much that it wouldn't be practical for us to try and return it. So, we are s-t-u-c-k. Some things you shouldn't try to order online, you have to be able to see it in person in order to tell it the quality is there or not. And for this one, I assure you, it is NOT.

Superb

I just brought my American Curl kitten home from NYC where he had been trained by the breeder to use scratching posts and cat trees and he took to this instantly. The dangling mouse is suspended on the second level by elastic and I doubt it will last long as my cat loves the thing and won't leave it alone. He meows at it, swats it and tries ever so hard to rip it down. Overall the item is simple to assemble, is sturdy and well made. All the posts are covered in sisal rope and my cat is clawing that instead of my furniture. The seller was great too, got it delivered very quickly even on standard shipping and the item arrived in pristine condition.

Nice cat condo

My cat really enjoys her cat condo. We put it by the window and she likes to sit on it and look out. It was easy to put together and is pretty stable. My cat is small, about 6 pounds, so it works for her but if you have a large cat this may be a bit unstable. My cat also likes to play with the mouse that hangs from the top level. The condo is covered in carper so it is pretty durable. The color is also nice and it doesn't look cheap. This same condo is more expensive in the store. I would suggest going with this cat condo, especially if you have a smaller cat.

Great quality especially for price

Very easy to assemble, we've had it for close to a year now & it's still in great condition & sturdy. Our cat loves the mouse toy on it! The rope scratching part might be an awkward height for some cats to scratch with, but ours loves running through the bottom & sleeping on the top of it (her favorite spot!)
