Wow, what happened to Lane?
I ordered the "Lane Home Furnishings Ottoman" in silver gray color (not the blue one). The leather was beautiful, which makes the rest all the more exasperating. The feet arrived tucked inside a zippered compartment underneath the base, which is fine. However, there were NO HOLES through the thick black cloth at the corners for screwing in the feet. I slipped my hand inside the zippered compartment and could feel holes in the wood frame far inside beyond layers of leather, padding, and staples. With considerable difficulty, I was able to make a hole with pointed scissors directly in line with a hole and inserted a foot, verifying with the other hand that the screw on the foot was indeed inserted in the hole inside; however it would not tighten. I was able to actually complete another one, but it wasn't lined up, so that the edge of the foot protruded out from the edge of the ottoman; this was due to the location of the hole in the frame. The small hole I had to make in the black cloth only gave me access to that hole. Something is very wrong with the ottoman I received. I don't think it was finished, and frankly I'm not sure who made it. Also, the legs are plastic and were not wrapped separately, so the screws attached to each of them scratched the plastic parts of the other feet while inside the zippered compartment. I'm feeling rather shocked right now. I honestly can't believe this is a Lane product. I had also ordered two loveseats but am in the process of canceling those orders, concerned they might have similar issues. It would be incredibly difficult to create holes to insert the feet into the loveseats! Just...wow. I ordered a leather set from Ashley Furniture instead, noting that the description specified the items all come fully assembled. As they should be.

2nd sofa arrived torn in 2 places. I'm not trying a 3rd time. Very disappointing.
Love seat is great. Sits very firmly. However sofa arrived damaged and now I have to wait for a replacement & it's out of stock.

One was perfect, one was damaged
I ordered a loveseat and a sofa. They arrived at different times. The love seat arrived first, the delivery people called us to let us know they were arriving, brought it inside had us sign for it, and was perfect (as seen in my last photo) and I love it. The sofa arrived weeks later, was just dropped off at our door on a broken pallet and no one asked us to sign for it. The plastic already looked rough but I remembered that it had three layers so I was still hopeful. I was extremely wrong. There were scratches, staples exposed, the leg would not attach, and what looked like the leather was scraped. Very disappointed to have such a wonderful experience followed by a terrible experience. Really hoping there is not an issue with the refund and pick up process.

Lane Company went out of business. The leather was ripped which showed how thin the covering is.
The leather is super thin and easily torn.

Replacement was perfect
UPDATE: replacement chair was perfect. Other than the plastic legs which I am going to replace, the chair is great. Amazon was very helpful addressing the return and replacement. —- —- Unfortunately the chair was not packed well and arrived with a slash in it. The chair itself looks beautiful, color is beautiful, and style is great. I will revise rating when replacement arrives if it is not damaged, but right now I am disappointed. It took a long time to get here and now I need to wait several weeks for the replacement and have a giant unusable package sitting in my living room until they pick it up.

Not bad, not good
Not too bad, it's not all leather. The seating area is leather but arms, sides and back are matching vinyl. It doesn't have that leather smell like my old higher quality sofa had that was all leather, but it has a strange plastic smell instead. One leg would not go on as the internal nut inside the sofa fell off , I had to gently remove the dust cover staples on the bottom near the foot and put a nut back on the frame to install the foot. After that I had to restaple the dust cover back on. This sofa isn't the quality if a two or three thousand dollar leather sofa but the quality of an $800 leather sofa.

Great for tall people!
Pros=excellent quick delivery, affordable, arrived undamaged, nice feel to leather, sturdy seat, cushy backrest, beautiful color! Not quite blue, not quite gray, perfect mix of both. Kinda bluegrayish or grayblueish. Changes depending on light and angle.. Cons=P.I.T.A to attach cheap plastic feet. Sits very high! Perfect for my 6.2 husband, not so great for 5.4 me. I need a footstool so my feet don’t dangle. Way more pros than cons.

Beautiful and sturdy. Great color.
Delivery was a few days only. Had on the spot delivery and they were on time. Had to take the hydraulic off the screen door for extra protection to not gouge. Got the loveseat up to our loft. Took the wrapping and left them in our trash. Reason for four stars was the holes for the feet took awhile to be found probably half hour. But doable. Happy with purchase.
