Doesn't read in Fahrenheit.

This thermometer only reads in Celsius (C). Not Fahrenheit (F). Useless to most Americans. It is sold to the US market which reports temperature in F. Most digital thermometers have a switch to give you a choice of F or C.

LaCrosse Technology Wired Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer Reasonably Accurate

Got this to keep track of temperatures inside a desktop computer and compare with ambient room temperature. Tested by having both sensors in the same environment for some time - there is a 0.3 degree difference between sensor readings. Thermometer I received reads only in Celsius, does not read Fahrenheit but that is immaterial for my application. Small size makes readout placement easy.

Be aware: this thermometer only measures temperature in Celsius, AND it is not manufactured by or for La Crosse. I was looking for a simple, wired (not wireless) digital thermometer that simultaneously displays indoor and outdoor temperatures in Fahrenheit and keeps a record of the max and min for both inside and outside, until reset. I do not understand why this unit is marketed as a La Crosse thermometer. The thermometer, the instruction sheet, and the packaging all say it is made by, or for, TFA Dostmann GmbH. Nowhere does the name La Crosse appear. I could have overlooked all that, but the thermometer only displays temperature in Celsius. Amazon's website should have made that clear.
