Beautiful, roomy, sturdy construction!

Cabinet arrived in perfect condition earlier today, so I can't rate the ease of installation. After watching a video provided on Kohler's website, I don't anticipate any issues other than enlarging the area where it will be recessed. I only wish Kohler offered this cabinet in more finishes that match their other bathroom products.

Part missing

Would likely be able to give this a 5 star review except the little prongs that holds the shelving in place inside the mirror are missing. Update- although I contacted the company directly they did not respond- but the subcontractor found the parts. They had fallen out of the box. However I gave a 4 because some go in easily and some do not.

What can I say other than WOW? We are building a cabin and because of limited space, I knew that I wanted a medicine cabinet for both bathrooms. I looked all over the internet, in addition to the big box stores. I finally saw this medicine cabinet hanging on the wall in a store and immediately fell in love with it. The main reason is because it does not look like a medicine cabinet. However, the store only had one available. I decided to come home and look on the internet, and as usual, found that Amazon had them. I ordered 3. They were extremely well packed! Can't wait to have them installed! Definitely doesn't look like a medicine cabinet! What can I say other than WOW? We are building a cabin and because of limited space, I knew that I wanted a medicine cabinet for both bathrooms. I looked all over the web and in the big box stores. Beautiful but surface mount install is not sturdy at all!

The installation took my husband and I a good 3 hours. The surface mount installation is an accident waiting to happen in my opinion, esp, if you have kids. You put a tiny bar on the bottom of the cabinet and then slip the cabinet into a tiny lip, looks like about 3 mil. The top is just a u-shaped small piece of metal that holds onto just the side of the cabinet on both sides. I am going to try to screw into the top above the glass, hoping the glass doesn't crack because this cabinet installation is a danger. Look at the install video before you buy/install it. Another issue. I open the cabinet and it swings right into the wall without stopping. I am looking for hinges that will fit this so the cabinet stops on its own. If anyone has already purchased them for this cabinet, please let me know. There are other reviews out there about this, Kohler should redesign these. Seriously! That said it looks beautiful up on the wall. Once i get some more screws in it i can relax.

Terrible install

Really pretty, sturdily made medicine cabinet. But, the install is hell. Whoever decided that the best way to hang this heavy, glass cabinet was with 2 flimsy clips at the top, must have been high. The instructions were very hard to follow and were not well written at all. It does not come with anchors, which it says you need. All you do to secure this HEAVY mirrored cabinet is place it on top of a short brace and then 2 clips that don't fit very well at the top. We had to place several screws inside at the top to keep it from ripping out the wall. Next time, I will pay more attention to how these things secure to the wall.

High quality for price. Recommend

The top mounts that come with it are not sturdy in my opinion. The mirror top when mounted on the outside of the wall really should have Wall anchors that come with the mirror instead it just comes with a large screws. I ended up just putting a large screw right above the back mirror on the inside (see inside pic, top left, was carefull not to hit back glass) into a stud and it's very sturdy now and did not have to run to store.
