Great for make-up prep

Pro: Great base for liquid foundation and overall matt look, however... Con: Makes my dry patches on my face visible, with and esp. without make-up. Not moisturizing at all - at least not for me. Makes my face feel dry.

I wrote a review on their volcanic face wash, LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I have NEVER found I moisturizer that I can just put on my face and that’s that. My skin is very sensitive when it comes to acne, so either I have to water it down and it‘ll help some or doesn’t work at all no matter what. It’s always been such a pain in the butt that I don’t moisturize hardly ever and I know that’s gonna make me look like a shriveled prune when I get older (currently 31) I loved their face wash so much I gave this a try. O.M.G!!!!!! So far it’s been AAAAAMAZING!!!! Just put it on and that’s it! Thank you Sephora for introducing us, thank you Innisfree for making this! If you ever stop I will seriously be writing letters to corporate.

Not Effective at Keeping Oily Skin Matte

Volcanic Clusters? Who Knew?

When I think volcanic products, I think lava rock, pumice stones and superfine volcanic particles that chinchillas bathe in (true, that). The first couple of days, I applied this to the backs of my hands, and it felt good and provided some moisturizing. I then tried it on my face, and it also felt moisturizing, and somewhat evening-out. It was not filmy or sticky (or powdery, like chinchilla dust). My skin does not get super-oily, so I did not notice a mattifying effect, but you may. I liked that it did not seem to get loosened when perspiring while working outside. I also cannot say I noticed any pore-clearing, but then again I did not have any clogged pores while using this.

Fantastic product!

I absolutely loved this moisturizer! It absorbed quickly and while it did feel like there was a bit of a film on my face afterwards, it was not gross or made my skin feel like it couldn't breathe. Quite the contrary. My skin felt soft and pliable after use. I don't like my skin to look shiny after I moisturize and this left a nice matte finish that was not drying if that's possible! It's quite a nice balance between getting your skin the moisture it needs and not greasing things up like some heavy creams do. Lovely little jar too.

This is an awesome product.

I ordered the innisfree innisfree Pore-Clearing Matte Moisturizer with Volcanic Clusters, 1.7 fl. oz. for my 39-year-old, oily, acne-prone skin. I'd never tried anything from this brand before, and I have to say that I've been impressed with this product. This stuff really truly is magically mattifying yet also moisturizing at the same time. I don't know how they do it. It's perfect for someone like me who has always had greasy oily pimply skin, but has entered middle age and needs to learn how to moisturize. I feel like this product very slightly blends out the look of imperfections in my skin, and I like to use it after washing my face at night before bed, but I will also apply it before I put on my makeup in the morning. I do notice also that this product seems to block out UV rays when compared to my other moisturizer. The small jar has lasted me ages, and I will definitely be purchasing this product going forward. I highly recommend it if you have similar skin conditions to mine.

Cuts down on shine but not super mattifying

I have skin that gets oily quickly and I’m always looking out for good mattifying moisturizers. This one does cut down on the shine but does not leave me really matte. More of a natural silky finish. My shine does return after a while, as it does with most everything. It does provide really good moisture so if you have combination skin you’re not left too dry, this moisturizer provides a good balance. I will say that the Innisfree volcanic clay mask from this line is my HG mask of all time.

A Matte Moisturizer for Oily Skin

I'm a huge innisfree fan and have been using their products since we took a trip to South Korea in 2015. I've used the 7 step Korean skin care method off and on, varying because frankly, who has time for 7 steps? I have combination-oily skin and started using their products with volcanic clusters to control my oily skin. Ironically, although the cleanser is my absolute favorite cleanser (and very economical!), I have never used the moisturizer. This is going to sound weird, but I was surprised at the texture of the moisturizer. The cleanser has exfoliating clumps that break up as you create a lather. The toner is biphasic and has a powder in it that you mix into the toner by shaking it, and which helps control oil, before you are using it. This moisturizer is just a moisturizer. I don't know why I was expecting to feel clusters! Anyway, in the range of moisturizers from innisfree, this one is specifically for oily skin. It is a thick moisturizer but still not overly greasy and dries to a natural finish. Since it's winter, and my skin is on the drier side at the moment, I applied it before my workout. Dangerous, but there wasn't another way for me to test it. I found that it actually controlled the shine on my face and my face didn't feel any more greasy when I showered after working out. I haven't broken out either, which is a bonus. It's not as moisturizing as I need at the moment though. In the winter, I use their Orchid moisturizer. I will probably give this to my son to use on his face or save it for Summer (normally, I use their Green Tea line in Summer).
