Similar to Lighting a Aging BBQ Grill
It works for my 400 sq foot garage as I can heat it to around 65 degrees F in an hour when outside temp was -10 in Denver this winter to tune skis. I was a bit disappointed that there is no electric start button. You will need to buy some long fire start matches or use an electric start mechanism (elec match?). Not fancy, much of the heat goes straight up, but it works for my small uninsulated garage. Without it I would not have done any winter work in garage or work would have been miserable.

It works great. We ordered these last minute when the temperature dropped for a party in our backyard. They did the job, but be careful, they get really really hot. You don’t want kids running around them.

Works very well
The only complaint is that the piezo lighter doesn't work on either burner. This is not a deal killer for me. More work to return than to light a match.

Uses a Ton of Fuel
These work great at close range, and they would probably heat a small room very well if you didn't have to worry about carbon monoxide. I was shocked at how quickly this heater gobbled up a tank of propane, even when turning the burners down to medium. This particular model does NOT come with the push-button ignition, so keep one of those long, fireplace lighters handy.

Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because once you’ve lit both burners and want to turn the heat down, you can’t simply shut one burner off. You have to shut the whole thing down, let it cool enough and then re-light just one burner. Really should put a cut off valve on one of em! I’d also recommend getting the version with the automatic ignition option. I didn’t know it existed until I opened it and saw it in the manual. Other than that, it’s simple to set up and use and it works great!
