Thermostat comes with unit set to 90 DEGREES - Cold shower is no fun

Nope. This unit does NOT come with the thermostat PRE set to 125 degrees, it comes PRE set with the thermostat at 90 degrees. Plumber installed, then had to come back next day, remove insulation blanket, unscrew all fittings to reach the thermostat which was AGAINST the WALL and not accessible (bad design). Plumber then had to set to 125 degrees and pretty much RE INSTALL the unit. What a joke. How on earth can a company like GE send out their units PRE set to 90 degrees? WTH. My old GE unit lasted 20 years with no problems, and I had that set to 150 degrees. Let's hope the new stuff lasts as long...but unlikely.

g.e. electric hot water tank

this is my second hot water tank. installed one in my office in california and we took one to mexico april 30, 2023, works perfect and enough to take a shower. highly recommend to buy GE water tank

Easy

I needed to replace a water heater that was running a kitchen sink and dishwasher. Whoever installed the previous one built a room around it. In order to remove the old one I would have had to remove the entire for jamb. With this tiny model, I was able to leave the door jamb as is, and have plenty of water for a dishwasher and occasional kitchen sink use. Great compact water heater. Very easy to set up.
