Looks are deceiving

I would like to start that I would provide some visual proof but I already had returned the item before writing the review as I'm busy with architecture school (that's important as I'll explain soon) I would like to say the boots are very unique looking, stylish in design and it is rare to find a good looking white boot for obvious reason of wearing anything white clothing wise. So..... that's about it. The boots look good and I presume fits (but I didn't even put it on because I looked and noticed how incredibly cheap it is). This boots are 50$ walmart boots. It's not worth the mark up price. It just simply isn't. The leather quality is trash and I'd venture potentially not even real leather as I own near 7 boots from Thursday, 1 from Taft, 3 from OROS (which are 500 to 700 per pair) and then own a couple of leather shoes. If they are indeed real leather, it's HORRIBLY put together. I didn't expect anything exceptional to the quality fo my other shoes (want to make that very clear as you may deem me as snob. I am to some level, but I'm aware of what I purchased). The price doesn't justify the quality. I will also add that the tongue, sides of the boots, and other areas the "leather" was already splitting due to how they constructed the shoe. The "leathers" were glued together ALREADY coming apart. Lastly, the boots were covered in marks and looked like someone personally attacked them. I'm not expecting a satin box or shoe horns..... but dang.... can you not destroy the item that's barely put together to TRY and convince me to keep them? These boots are not worth buying. Simple. The only reason I gave a 2 star was because of the design. They LOOK great. Everything else was..... well below subpar. ESPECIALLY for the price. Buy Thursday boots for the price your paying here. Practically the same price for SUPERIOR quality. WAY better value. Very last note, I'm a value guy. I never bought these with the intention of meeting the level of ANY my other boots. Just for RARE occasions I can make them LOOK expensive. That's not possible with this boot. A true shame.

Great shoes-horrible shoe laces

The shoe laces that came with the shoes were not as shown and were significantly lower in quality and very fragile. Order decent shoe laces and you're good to go. Great shoes otherwise.

I really like these boots

I have had these for a few weeks and worn them a few times. I really like these boots and I think they look sharp. I have the taupe color and love the way these look with dark jeans. Mine are leather sole and yes, they are slick when brand new, but after wearing them for a while they rough up and are not bad at all. Much like any other leather sole shoe I have worn. This is a kid leather and it is a thinner leather, but seemingly quite durable. I like the look and feel of these boots. I would absolutely buy these again. I would order a half size down. I wear a 10.5 in Asics running shoes and I should have ordered a 10 in these boots. I have them in 10.5 and they are longer than I would prefer. Size wise they are ok, I can and do wear them, but I would size down to a 10 if I were to do it again.

Great $50 boots priced at $130...

UPDATE- Photos added!! Both pairs of these boots are approximately 2 years old, with average occasional wear. Grey pictured with taupe for comparison! I didn't quite know what to expect with these boots, and I won't lie,,I LOVE these boots! They're like an old VW Bug,,it's no Porsche, but ya just gotta love the silly thing! I'm a sucker for good quality bootwear,,,Aldens, Danner, J.Crew,,so I'm confident that I can review boots pretty well. For these Stacy Adams I gave them 4 stars mostly for style points. The craftsmanship is fine,,nothing spectacular, but works. The leather is thin "kid" leather. If it truly is goat, it should be fairly durable and strong, but it doesn't feel like it is. The ankle wrap upper leather feels more like pleather than real leather. The foot section creases quickly and gives a good, classy worn look. It feels and looks more like real leather. As for fit- these boots are definitely for narrow feet, which I have. Those with wider feet will NOT like these. They run true to size, but note- they are a long, pointy boot, so there will be some toe space. Very comfortable once an insole is added. Without it, they are your basic, leather sole feeling boot,,hard. You can't beat the classy styling and appearance, very cool. All in all I'd say the boot is a $50 boot priced too high, but I, myself, am happy with the purchase, and plan to get the grey and black colors. One thing to mention,,,they are NOISY, SQUEAKY out of the box. Leather conditioner is a MUST right away and the noise stops. The leather is very dry from the factory and needs conditioned anyway.

Buy Now Before They Run Out.

Glad I got one of the rare few shoes from the Movie Drive(2011). If Stacy Adams made more of these boots lots of people would buy it up. I know a lot of people that are still a fan of the movie so If they made more of this boot lots of fans would buy it up. So I recommend you guys buy this boot before they run out for your Drive outfit.

Look nice but they age poorly

These boots are nice out the box, but they scuff up so easily and cleaning them strips them of their color. Not worth the money in the long run.

I'm a Stacy Adams Guy, My Dad wore them, My uncles wore them, Grandfather and greatgrand father.

I've always liked Stacy Adams Shoes, I order them in a 10.5 and they are a perfect fit, all other shoes I would have to buy a 12.5, My feet are AAA in width but the Stacy Adams fits me well, just wish I could get them In like C or B width and it would be a perfect fit, after wearing and break in the get a little wide on my feet, but still not so bad of a fit, and wears good. the only dress shoes I'll buy, I do love the high tops.

The Good, Bad, and Snug

This is my second time buying a pair of these, the previous ones I bought in 2017 and got pretty solid use out of them. Appearance: Out of the box, the treatment of the leather on the boots is incredibly shiny and rigid, meaning for quite a while you may be dealing with quite a squeaky pair of boots. As the leather creases with wear and environmental exposure, it loses the shine but takes on a nice matte character which looks even nicer in my opinion, but trades semi-formal appropriateness for street use. Material and Quality: The kid leather and stitching is not of high grade and will over time crease, stain, and fray. If worn sporadically to monthly or bimonthly occasions it'll keep for about five years with care, but if worn regularly would be lucky to see two years. Fit: I'd previously bought and worn a 9, which is my usual shoe size, which was a definitely roomy but not overly problematic, lacing all the rungs and tightening sufficed. This time I went down to an 8.5, which is a about a perfect fit with less empty space in the toe, so the other reviews advice to skew a little down is accurate, but if you have a wider foot a half-size rather than full size down is likely your best bet. Overall: 4 out of 5 stars. It's not the world's best material or craftsmanship, but that's more or less reflected appropriately in the price. The style and design are what recommends it, and despite being purchased with the aim of doing a Ryan-Gosling-in-Drive Halloween costume, they ended up being surprisingly versatile while standing out. I may try the dark brown next go round.

Decent for the price, fit *long*

Narrow but pliable so they can accommodate a foot that that's somewhat pushing against them sideways. Also, long. I will have to try a smaller size than the smaller of two sizes that usually fit me. Why are they doing this? Only they know. Causing their customers to reorder, etc.. dang it. They didn't arrive mint. There are little wrinkles, etc. out of production, but they're still fly boots and for the prize I think it's okay. Issues show up more on white too, so maybe some of it is just the increased visibility of small blemishes.
