Fit and worked perfectly

It had some sharp edges , I filed off & it worked fine ????

Compatible with 1995-1997 Lexus LS400

I have tried 3 different tensioners. The Hayden Automotive 5806 Automatic Belt Tensioner is NOT compatible with the 1995-1997 Lexus LS400. The problem is that the lower right timing belt cover does not sit correctly on this tensioner due to the fact that the dimensions are incorrect. The other tensioner that is not compatible is the Goodyear 49241 Gatorback (same issue). The tensioner I found (on Amazon) to be an exact match is the Gates 39080. It performs as good as the OEM tensioner. You will not be disappointed.

I was more than pleased with this purchase. It was the best price that I found in the store or on line. I was glad that it was the exact fit for my car. The shipping and handling was the best. Would recommend this company to any one interested in buying this product.

Install was time consuming but did what it said it would. No more squealing. Alternator had to come out aswell as the timing cover for the 1992 sc400

we installed this is my 1993 lexus ls 400 finger fit...Its been a month now havent had any issues so far....would recommend ....

Worked fine for 2 weeks, then started chirping.

Worked perfectly fine for around 2 weeks. Just started to chirp a bit here and there. Kinda upset as I chose this brand over others in hopes of better quality. With the SC it's not very simple to just take old off and throw on a new. You got to invest a bit of labor into this, not happy.
