Does what it claims

I’ve bought this twice now, and it really works. When I moved in, my partner’s dishwasher smelled like he hid cadavers in there; I gagged every time I opened it! He’s a “Why rinse it first?” guy, And I’m a “Rinse off all the food” girl. I had to remove the piece in the bottom and scoop out smelly dank water with food bits, and it STILL smelled rank. This stuff solved the problem and keeps it fresh for weeks. You do have to allow it time to do its stuff; I add it before I go to bed so it has plenty of time.

I'm very satisfied!

Tried it today for the first time. I think this dishwasher hasn't had a deep cleaning ever, and there was quite a bit of soap gunk everywhere. Using this probiotic dishwasher cleaner was very simple. Pour it, wait, run the rinse cycle, wait. I was amazed at how clean and new it looked when I opened it this evening!

let it say for 2 hrs. I ALSO ADDED A QUART OF HOT WATER AND LET SAY AND THEN RUN THE RING WASH.

Check the water line to see when it clears on the ring cycle when flushing water. You may have to do it twice before it clears. Remember this is grease and calcium buildup.

Updated review - works very well but not very convenient to use

Updated Feb 2022: OK I persevered and continued to use this cleaner since I had some packets left. I changed the timing on when I empty the washer so that I can put the stuff in to percolate. I have noticed that the cleaner has really done it's job. I had an oily schmear on the inside walls of the washer - after the 2nd clean it is gone. What more can you ask for? Upgraded to 4 star. Dec 2021: The prep time takes too long to use. We use our dishwasher every day, with the way the pack has to sit in an empty washer for so long, it is inconvenient, therefore not conducive to their being used regularly.

Takes time to use

Worked OK but dishwasher had to stay empty overnight to allow cleaner to work.I had to leave all the dirty dishes in the sink for the next day day.That was a pain.

Used to clean dishwasher grime

Bought it to get rid of dishwasher grime and nasty smell in dishwasher and on dishes. So far we've used 2 tabs and I have to still rinse and dry dishes by hand to get the smell off the dishes before using them. Dishwasher gets dishes, pots and pans cleaner now, but the grimy smell still remains. We don't have well water. We have water company water service.
