Caution
Read the description as the picture is different from the description. I needed a CB9 Description was for a CB8. Which is a smaller pink. Still they are exceptional picking shears.

if you have arthritis in your hands, don't buy these
Disclaimer: I had hand surgery recently, a trapeziectomy. At the time of this writing, the 3 month recovery period was just ending and all PT was completed. I thought these would be excellent because they were metal and my last ones broke bc the handles were plastic. These have such a stiff mechanism I can't cut through even the thinnest fabric. I have to cut from one side and then meet in the middle even with a 1/2" width strap. They are painful for me to use and I've had to ask my husband to do the trimming on my sewing tasks, where pinking is needed. I wish I could loosen the open/close and bring the mouth open wide so I could get a good length of cutting done in one stroke. They have a good name and will last long, but I can only hope they will loosen up. My husband does not have arthritis, and I have it terribly in my hands. He said the scissors were just stiff and hard for him to use, as well, and he's a big strong guy. In terms of the quality, I expect the Wiss name to hold up for this product and that hopefully time, use, and my own increased strength will make them easier to use. I can't blame Wiss for my arthritis, but I still think the scissors are just too stiff for daily use.

Most excellent, heavy duty
These pinking shears are most excellent! Heavy duty cutters, Solid steel, no plastic parts. Sharp, highest quality precision cutters. Heavy duty cutters: each blade is 1/4" thick to accommodate zig-zags and thick material. I tried them on Tee-shirt -- perfect cut, with ease. Used them on edge of expired credit card to make glue spreaders. A hard squeeze, but perfect cut. Made in Italy, with Wiss & European quality. Twice the price of junk from other places, ten times the quality, should last a lifetime, maybe not a super "value", but not over priced. Worth the price to me. Probably will give as a gift to a couple of locked-in friends.

Loved them, but a bit heavy
A bit heavy an big for me. My hands are small so I guess it’s expected a bit difficult to open wide for large cut so I made smaller cuts, got slightly softer with use. But wow it is true that it cuts really nice and does not fray. I never thought it would be so good. If it frays it’s very tiny no big deal. The fabric I used frays big time normally. So it was fantastic looking

These are not what I had hoped for.
Sadly, they are not the Wiss I once owned and loved. I am not able to cut more than one layer of thin cotton fabric. They don't feel like a Mercedes as you use them. I'm disappointed.

Need to return these
I purposely bought these because of the Wiss brand name, and that they cost more than others. I thought that would mean they would be much better, but not so. They will not cut a medium-heavy fabric at all, and it's difficult to cut more than one layer of thin cotton. They do cut one layer of cotton, but anything else is hard work. What happened to Wiss brand?
