Fun but it "sheds"

Got this for my 12 year old (fidgety) stepson. Almost returned because it has pictures of very young kids on the package (husband thought it might be deemed a baby toy) but D likes to mess with this stuff while doing homework, reading, watching videos, talking, etc. Only complaint is it sheds, not a lot, but there are always a smattering of the little balls this stuff is made of around.

If you want your kids to have fun without too much mess this is a great product. It squelches and stretches and mushes which kids will love. And clean up is easy which parents will love. It is made of many little foam-like balls each about the size of a sesame seed held together by some stringy sticky stuff. The mass of this sticky foamy material can be manipulated into any shape though it isn't easy to get it to hold its shape so it doesnt quite replace the fun of play-doh or clay. Its a little bit like kinetic sand where it can be pressed together tightly to form some shapes but mostly flows apart again. Its fun to roll into simple shapes like balls or ropes and its easy to stick these together. It is true that it never dries out. My daughter left it out one day and I didnt find it until a week later and the stuff was still the same as day one. As for clean up, a few of the small foamy beads might separate from the mass as a whole and the sticky substance leaves a small residue behind on hands but in general its a lot better than other products out there.

Would Highly recommend it!!!

I bought this product (as a high school student) as a way to keep from getting distracted in class. It's a little louder than expected, meaning that when you squish it, it makes a sticky sound. It might not work for class but it does work great as a stress ball. I can use it when I'm watching a movie or doing homework. I combined two colors together to make it a little bigger for my hands. It has worked great! It hasn't dried out and doesn't stick to anything but its self. I does pick up hair or dust if you lay it on the ground but other than that this is a great product and I would greatly recommend it!!!

Both my kids like it, a little sticky at first but once you start playing with it that goes away.

Just like the Floam of my childhood!!!

I bought this for my 9 year old boys just b/c they had never heard of Floam (which is what it was called back when I was a kid). At first they weren't real sure what they were going to do with it, but they combined all the colors together, split it between the 2 and began molding it into arm shields and then pancakes and by the end of the night they had rolled them into balls and were throwing them at the wall and catching them. They don't leave any kind of residue on the walls, so I was fine with them doing that. Def glad I bought this to share a little bit of what I used to play with with my kids.

Great for long car rides with kids

This is great for 5 & up (or once you can trust them not to put things in their mouths ;)) in the car. I ordered this for my daughter as we were preparing for an 8hr car trip- this occupied her for long stretches and it's especially great since it doesn't dry out or make a mess (again, as long as you're not giving it to a very young child). *it can leave a bit of a film on some types of surfaces- it will wash off either way, but just an FYI - my daughter was pressing/patting it out on the rubber arm rests of her booster seat and it did leave a film on there... For the most part though it isn't messy/overly sticky at all.
