Another Winner From the Dove Men & Care Line

When it comes to soaps and body washes, there's simply no denying that Dove branded items are my favorites. Where others fail, it seems like Dove consistently serves me up a product that cleans my body, helps me take care of it, and honors my finicky sensitive skin. So, I'm always anxious to try new products from Dove. I'm a fan of more natural scents and was anxious to try Dove Men & Care's Rebalance Body Wash with Tea Leaves and Chaga. This includes a Vitamin and Mineral Complex and plant-based ingredients. When you see the word "tea" involved, it seems like you can automatically assume that a strong scent is going to be the case. This is very true here and I have to say that this is one of the strongest scents I've experienced with a Dove product. In fact, it may very well be the strongest. It doesn't linger too powerfully and it doesn't overwhelm, but if you prefer a more subtle scent this really isn't it. This set includes four 18-fluid ounce bottles of the body wash. It has the usual green, earthy design that Dove has been using for its men's products. The bottle is 100% recycled and the look of the body wash kind of reminds me of my childhood days playing in my grandparents' creek behind the house. It looks and feels very natural to me. This body wash moisturizes well and cleans well. It's mostly targeted at people with normal skin and I have to admit I'd probably not use it every day myself as a person with sensitive skin. However, on those days I want an extra clean I typically find that Dove nicely balances skin care with actually getting clean. This body wash does that for me. Overall, I'm not quite ready to call this my favorite Dove body wash and probably not even my favorite in the Men & Care line. However, I definitely like it and will definitely keep using it. For those who embrace a strong, natural scent this may very well be your body wash of choice from Dove.

Husband Likes It!

Being that my husband has liked the previous Dove Men's Care products that he has tried in the past, I thought he might like this body wash as well. I requested it from Vine and here we are. This review is for: DOVE MEN + CARE Rebalance Body Wash Tea Leaves and Chaga 4 Count With Vitamin and Mineral Com... The product arrived safely and undamaged. The box contains 4 bottles of 18 ounces, each. It's a LOT of body wash! Thankfully, my husband likes it. Personally, out of the bottle, I think this has a strong scent, but my husband doesn't think so. Either way, I can't smell it on him after he's showered, so be aware that the scent does not linger as some other body washes often do. He says it lathers up nicely and that he doesn't need a lot of product to get the job done. That means these four bottles are going to last for years, and that's just fine with me. It's one less thing on my grocery list for a while. Hubby says this also rinses off cleanly and leaves his skin feeling soft. What more could you ask for? Dove's relatively new line of body/skin care products for both men and women have become a part of our daily lives and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Not your typical men’s product

The tea tree scent is mild and definitely not a woodsy masculine scent to me. However, my son thought the scent was strong. The body wash lathers like most, rinses clean, and did not dry the skin. It left the skin moisturized. The scent is not strong, so the scent does not last beyond use in the shower. A plant based body wash is impressive.

Great moisturizing body wash, but where’s the tea?

It’s funny to me when body washes are advertised specifically to men, but whatever helps with marketing, I guess. This particular body wash is nice for anyone. It lathers well and leaves skin feeling clean and soft, moisturized but not oily or slick. The scent is a bit strong. It has a botanical element, which is pleasant, but that’s almost overwhelmed by a soapy, perfumey note. I did notice mushroom extract among the ingredients, but I don’t see anything that seems like it would be tea. It’s often listed as camellia sinensis extract or similar, as it’s a fairly common ingredient in skincare products. Maybe I’m just missing another way it can appear on a label, but I’m a bit disappointed that this may not actually contain tea, as the listing description says it does. Tea is a powerful antioxidant that helps keep skin looking young and healthy, so I really would have liked for it to be included. It’s not a dealbreaker, of course, but if the tea is only a fragrance note and not an ingredient, I hope the description will be updated to reflect that.

Hmmm. Definitely for men scent

This soap is definitely a soap for men, so if your mixed gender family shares body wash, this may not be the body wash for you. The scent is very similar to a deodorizing soap bar, and fairly strong. It cleansed very well, and my skin was soft after using. My biggest issue is that the soap is a slimy green color. Because the packaging is kind of rain forest looking, I couldn't help thinking that the body wash looked a lot like snail slime. Perhaps a great seller for a rugged man but not so much for his wife.

strong scent

Husband says it lathers nice and has a decent scent although it is a bit strong. Comparable to other shops in price but I like getting bulk orders so I never run out. A good buy!

Pleasant scent

It's a shame to me that things like this need to be gendered. I am not a man, but could not turn down 4 bottles of free body wash. The scent is pretty mild and pleasant and it left my skin clean and soft enough (after lotion, of course). The suds were pretty good, too. I do wish that it came in a pump bottle. The bottle it comes in is pretty heavy for my small hands and the gel formula can get sucked back into the bottle pretty easily. I do have a reusable pump bottle I'll be pouring it into, once that bottle is empty.

A lightweight Dove product

Nice for springtime. Not moisturizing enough for cold weather and dry heat. Not refreshing enough for hot, sweaty, summer use. It has a pleasant, light fragrance that does not linger. It has decent lather, but not too much. It is almost like the Dove company set out to develop something "in between" and "medium" and came up with this. Won't offend anyone, but not for lovers of either end of the fragrance-moisturizing-lathering-refreshing scale.
