Beautiful but not designed correctly for modern tea packets.

Beautiful box, but box should be a little taller so the lid can close after you fill the slots with standing tea bags in pouches. I read the reviews that said the same thing before I bought it and thought "well even if I wind up not using it as a tea chest, it's beautiful and very affordable, so I know I'll use it for something. Right now, it's a tea chest that I keep the lid open on. Eventually it may be used for another purpose. But beautiful wood grain, solidly built, good craftsmanship. Hinges could be stronger, but since I am not opening and closing a lot it's fine for my needs.

wooden storage box

Very nice box. I bought it to store tea. Unfortunately, my tea bags didn't' fit well. I returned the box. The same box is for sale on William Sonoma site for $20 more.

Lid does not fit tightly as the average tea bag packages are slightly larger than the individual tray slots.

Disappointed

The box arrived successfully on time, but it didn't look as good as on the picture. The craftmanship is pretty poor. The surface was pretty rough and I had to go over it with fine sandpaper and than oil it to be more presentable. Hinges for the lid were not aligned well, so when lid is closed, there was a gap remained in the right corner. I did fix it, but decided not to order anything from that company in the future.

Beautiful box. Over I liked it

Beautiful box. Over I liked it, but there are a few changes that would make it better. It didn't come with the chain like it appeared in the picture. I put Tazo, Twinings, Stash and Yogi tea bags in the slots and they are all a bit tight. The bags need to angled a bit diagonal so they aren't squished. I would take 8 bigger slots over 10 tights slot. Regular Lipton tea bags fit just fine. The lid still closes with the premium tea bags but they are a little squished from the top as well.

Very nice, but can’t fill it full

Constructions seems pretty solid. All lines and edges line up very well. My one complaint is that it needs to be slightly taller. When I tried filling up all the slots completely the tea bags prevented the lid from closing. So I had to take some tea out so the bags could lay at a slight angle in each slot.

Size of individual boxes

The overall box is really nice but each individual box within is just a bit too small to display/access your teas nicely. If you lay the teas flat within the boxes you can't get them out easily as they are really squished in. You have to put them somewhat on an angle in order to be able to get them out and then you can only fit 3-4 per box. Each box within would have been perfect just a bit bigger. I have tried different teas and they are all the same size.

I bought this as a gift and I'm thoroughly impressed at how handsome it is and how well made. Great value, I was tempted to buy another!

Nice size and colour

Lovely colour! Also really like how it can fit 10 types of tea. Fits perfectly on the shelf in the cupboard when not in use.
