Nicely detailed but be wary of QC issues

This Alfa is very nicely detailed, with high quality materials, several interactive features, and expectedly excellent paint. It's very true to the original, which is in the Alfa Romeo Museum just outside MIlan. In fact, it's among the most faithful reproductions of the 25 CMC models I own. (There also are Mille Miglia and unpainted versions, but I think the shade of red on this version perfectly offsets the extensive brightwork.) So, why am I not giving the model five stars? There are some quality control issues with the item I purchased: 1) noticeable glue residue on the engine compartment bulkhead and one of the wipers; 2) loose passenger door; 3) a permanent fingerprint mark inside the rear storage area; and, 4) small parts on the engine compartment bulkhead, chassis underside, and passenger side running board all broke free untouched. Moreover, after looking around some CMC collector forums, I've discovered my case isn't unique. For whatever reason, there were some production glitches with this model. Fortunately, none of these shortcomings are fatal flaws - they're only noticeable on close inspection - but they are disappointing, especially considering the model's price.
