It effectively picks up ice cubes. What more can I say?

Interesting and attractive design: blades that have oval holes with teeth around the edges, these grab at least as well as the ''toast tongs'' type and much, much better than the scissor-like tongs you use to turn over the hot dogs and chicken wings. (Please stop trying to use those for ice cubes.) Maybe these could be a slightly better gauge of steel but for occasional ice-bucket use, they're fine.

Just so so...

It's just basic. And it's a little big for putting large ice in to a cup, it sticks out. It just doesn't work awesome.

Work well and Look Great

I shopped around for a pair of tongs for an ice bucket and came across these which were competitively prices and looked good online. They work well in that they are springy in nature so they grip well when you have ice at hand and then easily release so you can grab another piece. The teeth ensure your ice cube doesn't go careening across the floor. The stainless steel is of good quality and the size is right so you can balance them on the top of an ice bucket.

Ice Tongs

Purchased to be used on the patio in the summer. Utilitarian design but VERY useful. Where one might buy tongs for a decorative asset to their tables, these are perfect for their use on the patio. The "teeth" are long enough to get a good grasp on the cubes, and they hook nicely over the edge of the ice bucket, or lay on a tray comfortably and are heavy enough not to blow away. I'm glad I purchased them, and feel you would be also.

Hard to pick up ice cubes with slanted or curved sides

These are nice looking ice tongs, very sturdy. But they don't pick up ice cubes that have slanted sides, the cubes just keep sliding off. I have to turn the cubes over to get a grip on them. When I take the ice tray out of the freezer, I have to turn it upside down to twist and release the ice cubes. That's why the cubes are upside down and hard to pick up with the tongs. I got ice tongs to make it easier, not to create a new set of problems! If there were teeth on the very end of the ice tongs, then this would solve the problem, but the teeth are recessed. Also, your ice cubes need to be 1 1/4" or less, otherwise you would have to manually open the tongs using two hands to pick up the cubes. Not worth the extra effort. So, if your ice cubes have straight sides and are less than 1 1/4", these will be great for you. I'll just give these away, and order a different style with teeth on the ends.

After 72 years I finally have ice tongs for guests

Was looking for another kind of tongs when I ran across these. (Thank you Amazon search engine.) Having lived for more than 72 years as a less-than-adequate host, finally, now, I can impress my friends at parties: I have ice tongs! And they pick up ice cubes most effectively. I don't know how I lived so long without them. I shudder to think how many friends went home saying, "Did you notice he didn't even have ice tongs?"

Great for using with an ice bucket

This pair of ice tongs is the perfect size for the ice bucket that I use while entertaining. The end of the tongs have teeth on them, so they really grab on to the ice. Great quality!

Best ice tongs ever

I finally broke down and bought my first pair of ice tongs...and these are the best ones I've ever used. They grip ice cubes better than anything I've ever seen or handled before and they are small, classy, and elegant, without being fussy.
