Fun but slow drift cycle

This drifter is pretty awesome especially for kids to play with since it's a bit slower. Don't expect this toy to win any races but it will be engaging for younger children to maneuver. It glides really well over smooth surfaces and might have a harder time on grassy or rocky surfaces. The remote control is easy to use and is a good learning tool for kids who are learning how to work with toys like this. The battery has a pretty short life span so be prepared to charge it before every use.

Cool remote control drifter!

This is a really cool drifter remote control! Battery life could be longer but was long enough to entertain my 6 and 9 year old. Cool feature is that the battery is rechargeable! So the fun doesn't stop it just takes a break lol!

Another type of RC toy

Fast and Maneuverable, But Cheap

So this is a really fun car to play with, but I don't expect it to last extremely long. My kids crashed it, as expected, within the first few minutes, and the handle that the little rider holds onto snapped off, so he is not longer on it, which definitely changes the balance and the handling. Regarding the performance itself, this is a pretty sweet ride. It can be used indoors or outdoors, as the rubber track works fine on grass, asphalt, etc, and will go over most small obstacles. It can turn literally on a dime, and if you turn at speed it will do some cool rolls, slides, etc. I would avoid water. The controls are pretty simple once you get the hang of them, with throttle and turning like most other RC cars. If you are looking for something cheap and fun, this is a decent option and handles uniquely compared to some alternatives.

Turns on a Dime but Slow and Doesn't Work on Grass

My two boys and I have a small collection of RC toys but nothing quite like this tracked Drift Cycle. The toy certainly looks impressive and is larger than we expected measuring (approximately) 1' × 8" × 7" (l × w × h). Performance once moving is mildly impressive. The bright spot with this toy, aside from the styling, is that it turns on a dime and is very easy to spin thanks to the unorthodox design. Two traction wheels run perpendicular to the main track and they help the cycle turn instantly or keep on spinning in tight 360° circles. Two smaller wheeled (non-powered) control arms extend out an an angle to help keep the cycle from toppling over. Unfortunately, some of the fun factor is marred by the fact that this cycle is slow! My 7-year-old picked up on the lack of speed almost immediately and, well, for a 7-year-old a slow RC car/cycle is not a good thing. Sure, the crazy turns are neat but if his little brother's RC truck whizzes by this cycle as if it were standing still, it's not a toy that will hold my sons' attention. Buyer beware. If you're good with a slower RC toy, especially if shopping for a younger child, then this might be a good fit. All others should note the distinct lack of speed when making their buying decision.
