Works great as a spigot, but hole is a bit large for bottling.

I love it. I bought a cheap food grade bucket from the hardware store, drilled a hole, and installed this spigot in it to use as a bottling bucket. It worked pretty well, no leaks. However, I plan on using this spigot when I build my MLT and buying the bottling spigot instead since the hole was a big large for filling bottles. If you want to use this for a bottling bucket, get the other spigot like this that is meant for bottling. My favorite part is that you can completely disassemble it for easy cleaning and sanitation.

Strips too easy

Got this to replace a spigot that broke off in my primary fermenter. It appeared that it would work, but after further usage, it sprung a leak and differing amounts of torque produced worse leaks.

Just Fine

It's just fine. I inserted it into a plastic 55-gallon drum to use for my plants. The drum started leaking, so I had to create rubber washers to go on either side of the spigot. Now all seems okay.

horrible washer, excellent spout.

excellent spout, but the provided washer was useless. we had to hunt down another washer that was firmer, not an easy task for a 1” hole, in order to prevent this spigot from leaking when operated. we even tried silicone, and the water filled that like a bubble. the narrow flange on the spigot made it worse. the purple washer in the second photo finally did what the supplied washer should have done from the first- sealed against leaks.
