Worked good for a socket set

Was able to cut slots for a socket set, no problem. I'm no expert on the foam, I used a razor and got decent slots, though it clearly doesn't look "factory cut". Probably my lack of skill and patience.

Excellent case.

I use these for my electronic meters. They work great for them, don't have to worry if they fall. Plenty of foam inside on bottom and lid protects contents well. Good value.

Value Plus Product

I like this case. I wavered between giving this a 4 or a 5 star rating. I ended up giving this a 5-star rating because the price was reasonable enough to push the product up in my rating system. What I did not like is: The Latch - it does not lock and I think it will become less secure over the years due to wear. Water - the case is built to shed water so most of it drains off, it is not water resistant. That said, the case top and bottom are hinged together and do not separate nor do they lie flat when opened all the way. The case appears to be very durable and should endure a shock or two when dropped. The foam inside is very customizable. It can be cut into any shape for the items you wish to carry inside it. All in all... this is a very servicable case at a good price for the product.

Inexpensive and does the job

Great value for the money, wish the plastic was a little thicker/heavier since the case tips over when open and empty. Would still recommend for medium sized objects you want to keep secure!

Exactly what we were looking for

We wanted to have a carrying case for our work teams power inverter. It has great padding and enough room for the cables we need to carry and extra fuses. Perfect fit and excellent protection.

Lightweight version but good value for money

This is a great lightweight case for keeping things organized. I wouldn’t trust it with really expensive or fragile items, however, as there is no sidewall padding (only top and bottom). It is not waterproof and the clip that keeps the lid closed is just flexible plastic, as opposed to an actual hinge mechanism. Having said all that, there are a few sizes to choose from to suit your needs, and the price is right for what you get. I have several items where the original packaging is not suitable for long term storage, and these fit the bill perfectly.

Perfect size for keeping parts together....

Good solid case, the 12"x8" is perfect size for my transmitters and monitor equipment. The foam is a bit tricky to cut, wish I had a space block to practice on. Or a better tool to do it with than an exacto knife. A tip or trick card for cutting the foam would be handy. (maybe search online for how-to videos before you try)

Good special tool case come with a thin foam and a thick foam.the best way to trim the foam is with a fresh olfa blade.i used this for my inspection camera,rechargeable battries and battery charger.egg shell foam glued to the top of the lid Great case similar too a case I got with a snapon tool.

Perfect For Storing an instrument (Tool)

I use it to keep all my stud finders in along with a tape measure and pencil. It has 3 different layers of foam that you are able to cut to fit your tool or ?? This keeps it secure from flopping around. I am very happy with it.

Decent case for my spinach paraphernalia

Decent case for my spinach paraphernalia. I've yet to populate it fully, but it keeps my glassware intact and is sturdy enough for everyday travel.
