Sensory snacks!

Bumpkins is putting out some great products these days, and this is just one of many! I like this rainbow shaped sensory mat for some stimulated snacking. The ridges make it easier for little fingers to grab pieces of food and wrangle a better grip. The suction is good, but I’m not fooled by quick baby hands. This could be on the floor in a minute! I also wouldn’t call this “small” by any means. It would fill more than half of a high chair tray. It is almost the size of a circular placemat cut in half.

Convenient for baby

Our baby is learning to feed herself and this mat has been coming in handy. It’s super easy to clean and convenient to travel with. She also enjoys just playing with the mat when it’s not being used for food.

Fits highchair tray, but not exactly the removeable tray insert

I’ll start off by saying I like this placemat a lot. The suction on the bottom works well, and it almost fully attaches to the insert that sits on top of the highchair tray. It’s a tad bit big, but it still stays put. It will definitely fit on the tray itself when we choose to not use the insert. I like that we can still suction a plate or bowl on top of this placemat in the center or use it by itself. The rainbow design is cute, and the different sensory elements are raised enough to pique the little one’s curiosity. The raised edge is nice and helps keep the food on the placemat. Even better is the design of the tapered slope of the outer edge. This makes it more difficult for the little one to grasp and pull the mat. Overall, I recommend this placemat. I am glad I chose it!

Great idea but not the best suction

The media could not be loaded. Great for sensory touch and does help little ones get the food they spill. But suction does not work on all surfaces. My daughter has a 4moms high chair and suction does not work there. But on my granite it does.

I love it

This silicone placement is awesome and it is super cute! It has cute little designs on it, your baby can run their fingers over it and get some sensory play time while they are eating. It feels like great quality. It stuck to my baby’s high chair really well. I love that you can put food directly on it, or you can use a bowl/plate with it as well. It’s dishwasher safe which I absolutely love! I would definitely recommend this product!

Great sensory mat! Keeps babies entertained during meal time. Easy to clean!

I really like this placemat. It keeps babies engaged during mealtime with the interesting texture and it is made of silicone, so it is considered safe. It is very easy to clean and it encourages tactile development. I recommend it!

Baby & Mama Approved

I’ve had a variety of suction bowls and mats over the years. We fell in love with ezpz with my first kiddo. We’ve broken them out to use with baby number two, and while they work well with a spoon, my independent little one struggles to grab things from the slick, smooth surface of the ezpz ones. When I discovered these Bumpkins sensory placemats, I had to try them and - yay! They are perfect! My little one is able to grab his pieces of slippery food off the textured surface with ease and is so much happier at mealtime. It also has an AWESOME amount of suction, and the design of the edge makes it nearly impossible for baby to pull it up. I will say it’s a bit floppy which makes it kind of funky in the dishwasher, but we’ve yet to have any issues with getting it clean and keeping it in good condition. Wish I’d known about this mat with my first kiddo!

Awesome Suction

The media could not be loaded. I love this placemat! As others have noted, it’s pretty large and may not fit in your exact tray, but I plan to use even when we transition to the table. The textures are cute and help baby get his own food, which he LOVES. My favorite part is the suction and the design of the edge. It’s nearly impossible for my little one to pull it up - I even have a hard time sometimes! The only downside is that the textures are so fun sometime my baby just slides his hands all over to feel them and play, which makes a mess. But isn’t feeling a baby messy anyway? ;) I love that I can toss it in the dishwasher. It’s a bit floppy and awkward in there, but never had problems getting it clean. I love this placemat!
