Nice hardware, arrogant Support

I tried $600 Kohler Seat, $200 Brondell Seat, returned both. This thing was the best and cheapest. All others have to much plastic. I didn’t like the idea of adding a heated tank for the $600 unit and it was ugly as sin. The plastic parts that move the head or a cover were prone to fail. This thing is so well made. I did see comments that you don’t need hot water. They are right. Not as bad as you would think. But I wanted hot water for sanitary sake. You do have to remember to tuck it away. My wife has to sit further back than she is used to. And has to partially swing it closed to get the lady parts. I added foam to stop it from spraying out the side. This allows for a warm up position. Works perfect. Need to find something that looks better. I ran a dedicated hot water line. I want to replace the clear plastic hose with braided. Same as cold. I also peeled off the rubber pad on the mounting arm and replaced that with 3M double sided foam tape. That locks it in nicely. Also found this Kohler seat that covers the entire hinge area. A higher end Kohler seat wouldn’t work at all because the seat curved into the bowl to sharply and hit bidet. Update: I didn’t like the weak plastic tube used for hot water. After all, the whole reason I liked this unit was the lack of plastics. The hose I needed so happened to be exactly what they supply for cold water. I could not find this line any where. It’s a bit unique. So I contacted Brondell. First, they wanted the serial number on the bottom of the unit and proof of purchase in order to identify the hose. Well I was not about to remove it because I used very strong 3M double sided foam to prevent it from twisting. I told them I wanted to use it for the hot side. When they heard that, they flat out refused to sell me the hose. Claiming that the stainless steel branded hose used for cold would fail, flood my home and the cheap plastic hose was superior. Blah blah. The only reason for the clear plastic hose is cost and easy to cut to length. I didn’t need that. So I bought second unit and used the hose from that. Funny thing is, there is no identify number anywhere on the unit. For that reason I downgraded my review for their support being arrogant and incompetent. I added a photo showing the two braided lines. Much better looking and robust long term. Only cost me double ( with spare parts ).

Quality build, excellent customer service from Brondell

I decided to purchase this bidet because: 1. It is made of all metal parts, no plastic to break 2. It very adjustable; it can be moved easily into place or completely out of the way I found installation to be a little challenging only because we have a one-piece toilet with just the water on/off valve (coming of floor), no on/off valve on the water line to the toilet tank itself. Despite that, Brondell customer service is EXCELLENT. I was able to call & talk to someone, and they followed up very promptly numerous times via email. Wherever you decide to purchase, I recommend Brondell. Very please with this bidet; its amazing adjustiblility both of the spray arm & the spray itself are excellent. Highly recommend.

The Brondell SMB-15 Side Mounted Bidet Attachment for French Curve Toilet

I had a plastic bidet that, thankfully, broke. I say thankfully because it was close to impossible to clean. With a french curve toilet I had issues finding a bidet that would work. This bidet works perfectly on the french curve toilet and sits close to the toilet thereby avoiding the bulkiness of the plastic bidets. I anticipate the attachment being easy to clean and lasting for years to come.

Perfect for non conventional toilets

We had a Tecma Silence Plus 2g and there is no bidet you can put on that toilet but this one is not super specific to any toilet as long as you can pivot one of the holes in the bidet. And the pressure you can get out of it is great! The fact that you can pretty much hide it on the side of the toilet was unexpected but super welcome!.

Feels high quality

Day 1 review - Once the price went down it was a no brainer to buy it for me, especially since I have one piece curved toilets that a normal bidet can’t fit. For my use case I needed to buy a top screw in toilet seat hinge, but very thin profile for the arm,so the toilet seat sits on top flush. relatively easy to install by hand since I didn’t have tool space behind the toilet. Be warned, once this thing is on full blast, it can peel paint off the walls or be as gentle as you’d like. Just remember to swing it into position or swing it back once done… High quality thick metal. Looks good.
