Top quality German-made bits for when failure mid job is a real pain in the pocketbook

I use Bosch SDS plus bits exclusively with my Makita corded hammer drill (Blue tool likes Bluer tool) because they stay sharp and cooler than many other brands. I bought these bits for drilling deep Tapcon anchor holes in relatively easy material (green concrete); no wandering tip and accurate drill hole diameters throughout 68 holes on the one bit. Bosch really owns the market here!

Bosch HC2302 Tapcon SDS-plus Shank Bit 5/32 X 6.5-Inch

I purchased two of these bits for installing the 3/16" diameter Tapcon fasteners that I use often for mounting electrical boxes on concrete walls. The bits have the hex shank to fit the sleeve of the Tapcon tool, which makes for faster installation with only one tool instead of having to change SDS bits or carry a separate 1/4" impact driver to drive fasteners after the holes are drilled.

Excellent!

Bosch is the best! I drilled 50 holes in concrete with absolutely no problem....the bit is good for plenty more....I used my Bosch Bulldog concrete rotohammer.

So far so good. Not so good

The bit works great with my 9amp hammer drill and cuts like butter in my concrete and stone home. It’s the right size for screws. It broke after around 10 screws, not so tough, I'm less than impressed with the longevity.
