Where were you 3 years ago?

This is a great way to install water refill without the ugly sight of an A/C evaporative type float. This was so easy to install. Only drawback was guessing the height to install - instructions didn’t offer much in this area.

Needed to modify bracket a little for my fountain, but it works.

Using in a fountain I built myself. I discovered squirrels liked the fountain and would sit on top of the valve to drink, pushing it down in the bracket. I added a large rubber band around the valve above the bracket and it stays in place.

Works for a while, then reliability issues with getting stuck filling

The fill valve was very reliable for a few months, and then randomly it will get stuck filling and not turn off. After shutting off the water and turning it on again later on, the valve stops filling, and then the problem happens again after a week or so. I am also using a sprinkler irrigation pressure regulator to keep the pressure at 20-30 psi. I have a computer monitoring system to keep an eye on it, so I can tell when the valve gets stuck filling. I'm now looking into an electronic detector and a solenoid to maintain the water level more reliably.

Working good

Works good, but I put a pressure regulator in line before it,set at 25 psi, after reading reviews of failures. My line water line pressure is about 80psi. Another minor problem is with the mounting bracket. It is somewhat difficult to get at and tighten the height set screw.

Caution on Data Provided

This is not 1/2" but 1/4" and it requires an adaption kit in order to be for a 1/2" water line. This is not clear in the description. I had to contact Aquascape for the true information AFTER I received the unit.

Improperly labeled product

Do not purchase, 0 stars. This product , clearly labeled as 1/2", actually comes with attachments for 1/4" poly tube. Of course, I discovered this after delivery of product, and the 1/2" tubing and connectors I ordered and paid for. Now it all has to go back, and I start over! Complete waste of time. To top it all off, I used the Aquascape website Contact Us link to inquire, and the email comes back as undeliverable, no such address found. Utterly complete dissatisfaction.

WONDERFUL UNITS

The manufacturer had a problem with one batch of plastic causing the valve not the shut off or turn on properly. I receive one of the defects. After receiving one of the units made out of the right plastic the valve works great and keeps my pond perfectly level.
