Good for bathroom fans with simple wire interrupt circuit

Definitely an upgrade from the dial type timers, but a few compromises. This is the one you need to use if you are basically just interrupting your bathroom fan circuit and don't have a separate neutral to work with. The light that tells you how much time only flickers when you turn it on. No idea how much time is left or which one you pressed after the fact. Nice thing is it doesn't light up the room, for those complaining about other brands being too bright. Resolution of the options is a bit limited, even on the short duration one. 5 minutes minimum, which is ok, but it jumps to 15 minutes. Wish it had 10 minute setting. Of course you can hit 5 minutes twice. Much more modern looking bathroom since switching from the dial type and nicer to use. I think the light not staying on is due to the ability to work with minimal wires. i.e. this is a good deal for the price.

Entire Button Lights Up as a Blinding Blue LED

The timer works without issues. However, even though the white button looks like a solid white button, it's actually an extremely bright blue LED light. At night it lights up the entire room (no exaggeration). I find this very annoying. It's even too bright during the day or when lights are on. If given the option, I would definitely not purchase it again, and I now have plans to replace it after a couple months. The price was good...but not worth it to have to put up with this design flaw.

Worth way more

Used this one to replace a mechanical timer that $hit the bed. I can't believe how easy this timer is to use and how easy it is to read. Love the choice of time settings. I use it in a garage to pull the heat out after I park my car in the garage. Works like a charm. Would not hesitate to buy another one for another location should I need one.

Essential Safety Item

Works as advertised. Any appliance which does not have a timer should have one of these, especially those which generate heat and pose a fire hazard such as coffee pots, irons, space heaters, etc. Some simple electrical wiring skills required.

Four Stars

The screws to tighten the wires came loose so the wires come loose and cannot tighten. Would not buy again as now have to get something else. Very cheap quality on the screws or the nut that is supposed to tighten the wire you put in the back. Two switches and both did this and thought i had it secured but now came out and cannot get to stay in.

Buyer beware - Seller shipping used products

I had previously installed one of these timer switches for a bathroom vent fan. The switch worked flawlessly for 3 years and then failed suddenly. Based on the electricity saved... I feel that three years of solid use for the price of this switch is a good value. The one star rating comes from the Seller shipping a used switch and calling it new. The switch arrived with torn packaging that was taped back together and scratched/mangled plate mounting screws (see attached pics). To me this adds up to a previously installed switch that was returned and sold as new again. Amazon offered a full refund (or replacement) so I have no complaints there. Perhaps my expectations are too high for the world we live in... I'm not sure about that.

Really bright, not for a bedroom.

Really bright light on button. I would not recommend putting this in a bedroom. No longer need a nightlight in the hallway after installing this. Could find it in the dark while wearing sunglasses. Other than that, works as described.

Nice product, but it came to me wrongly assembled.

Check for continuity between LIVE terminal and mounting brackets. Mine came to me wrongly assembled - there was a jumper between the live terminal and mounting bracket, which is unacceptable and very dangerous! The jumper s/b between ground terminal and the bracket. After popping breaker twice, I decided to check the terminals, and this is how I discovered the wrong assembling. Be careful with installation and again, CHECK FOR CONTINUITY BETWEEN LIVE TERMINAL AND MOUNTING BRACKETS.

Only 2 out of 4 switches didn't work

Bought 4 light switches and out of the 4 only two worked. Very disappointed.
