Pretty much better in every way to the 3" vortec pros. On aluminum edges, it doesn't produce quite as good an edge as the Chinese vortecs, but it's good enough. The fact that it's substantially more durable and significantly cheaper should make up for it. As this is basically a bench mount style wheel, the technique is totally different.

Great small wheels, good wire, still made in the US
This took awhile to ship and receive but totally worth the wait. Weiler has always made great wire products (and most of the other things they make/sell) and they are usually quite a bit better than so many of the import wire wheels and brushes. I got the .008 fine wire, very pleased with it. It does come with the nylon bushing for 1/2 to 3/8 and the dimensions are quite accurate. I've got to bore some other spacers to fit on a 10mm shaft where this brush will primarily be used. The center hub on this wheel is only about 15/16" in diameter, so keep that in mind if your machine has typical larger flanges. Glad to find this small 3" size in a great quality brush. Seems like these are mostly for key machines and such where the nyalox bristles are more popular. Another nice aspect of this quality is that the face is about 1" in width, which is about double what you find in the ones from Ivy Classic and other imports. Much nicer to work with.
