Why does it say 1/2” PEX in the description if it doesn’t fit 1/2” PEX? Total wasted of time & money.

Ok, but more expensive than hardware store

This ball valve is exactly as expected from Watts, a trusted brand - dependable quality, brass, and lead-free. Recently I've been seeing lots of generic brand plumbing supplies from unknown chinese companies. I've tried a few, they're hit or miss, and I've found some that contain a disturbing amount of lead. Watts is a US based company that's been around and has demonstrated consistent quality control. My only complaint is the price - currently around $12, whereas an identical unit at the local hardware store (1/2 x 1/2 PEX ball valve w/ bleedeer) runs around $8 each.

Smooth operation and quality construction

This is Made in China like seemingly all Watts brand valves are now. Other than that disappointment, the quality of materials and precision manufacturing seem to be first rate. Threads and body are sized just right. Valve action is smooth and positive. Looks like something which will last for decades in most applications.

Good PEX valve, with a bleeder added.

A good half inch ball valve for PEX tubing. This one has a bleeder to drain the line when you turn the valve off, for example, on a line to a hose bib when winterizing. It has the correct barbs for PEX on the inlet and outlet. The machining is good with no flash or sharp edges. The valve is tight, and operates smoothly. It's about in the middle of the price range, but better quality than the cheep ones.
