Items did not have notch as pictured

I purchased these door stop tips because the picture had a notch just like the ones I was replacing. The tips i received did not have a notch. I had to use wire cutters and a box knife to make a notch for the tops to fit my door stops. Been using them for 6 months now in a public setting and they work great. Doors they are used on are not super heavy and don't have super strong door-closers, but they work well on carpet and vinyl tile floors.

Just what I needed.

Our stupid cats chewed up the rubber tip on our garage door stop and I didn’t feel like replacing the entire thing. I was so happy to see I could just buy the tip (and a whole bunch for a small price was even better). Now I have several spares. It fits almost as good as the original. The diameter of the smaller inner part was perfect, just a little long so the wider part doesn’t butt up against the cup, but it still works. You may need a slightly longer screw or just press down a little hard to get it to engage the existing threads. Hey, I didn’t expect an identical replacement, but this fit and it works. Now, if those stupid cats chew on it again... ????

Don't toss the screw in you existing door stop until you check the threads on these

Two big box stores didn't even offer these, so I was glad to see them on Amazon. The rubber is softer than the ones I replaced (that's good) and seems to function right- can't tell you yet how durable it is. The one "watch out"- the thread on the screws that came in the package did NOT match either of the two door stops I was fixing. So I used the old screws that I had removed from the old rubber caps. You MIGHT have the right threads, but don't toss the existing screws yet.

The picture shows a half moon cut out that allows for proper fitment in door stop. Item doesn't have that allowance. Rubber is almost too soft for heavy commercial door. Folds over quite a bit

Great tips!

If you have some door stops that take a tip held in by a screw, this will give new life to your hardware. I didn't notice any rubber smell and the screws are a bit too long, but I was very happy to find these.

Nice soft rubber tips with a longer end to fit into even deeper "elephant foot" door holders.

These are nice soft rubber tips. They don't slide on a hard surface which some of the other types have done in the past. They also have a longer base on them that can be left as is for a deeper "socket" on the holder or it can be trimmed off for shallow receivers. I would order these again happily.

the rubber is slightly softer than the one it replaced, and the screw did not fit in my stopper. do not throw your old screw in the bin before the package arrived.
