May show as a short circuit if powered by some charge controllers
Needed to convert the 24vdc output of a charge controller connected to a 24vdc battery array into a regulated 12vdc load. The charge controller kept saying that the line had a short on it. Turns out that the uxcell converter starts up with VERY little resistance on the input line which may cause other components to see this as a short circuit. (if they have that capability) Solved the issue by putting in a 12vdc relay with the output side of the controller going into the coil of the relay, then wiring the 24vdc input to the Normally Open side of the relay with a 100 ohm 10 watt resistor in parallel with the relay switch. That way the resister is in series with the converter when powering up until the converter has spooled up and starts putting 12vdc on the output side, thus closing the relay and short-circuiting the resistor. (about $8.50 in additional components) Once up and running the power output was very clean... between 11.9 and 12.1vdc constant on the output side, even when the charge controller was sending variable voltage. (from 24vdc up to 26.5vdc depending on battery charge status) Even finicky electronics that need uber-clean power were doing fine with this as a power source. The unit eats about half a watt of power (about 20ma at 24vdc) when there is a low draw on the output side. (higher draw on the 12vdc load decreases converter efficiency once you pass about 20 amps) Hope this helps people trying to figure out why their converter doesn't work when running of the 24vdc output of a charge controller.

Perfect for RV
Using 24vdc battery storage for my RV Inverter. 1/2 the current of my 12vdc system and generates less heat. This small sealed unit runs my entire 12vdc system in my RV. 40amps is more than my main 30amp main breaker and it is a highly efficient unit. Sealed and with plenty of cooling fins, I don't worry I will overload it. Can mount it outside my power box because it is metal encased and I feel it is safe. Wires are sufficient gauge to handle 40amps. Pushed it upward to 30 and it barely gets warm.

WORKS FOR ME
It works now but, Being from a country known for A-1 quality who knows when it will let out the magic smoke. I would try to buy an American-made product but big Biz Protected by the GOP will not let an American company compete.

Great product
Use this to convert a solar trailer to 12 vdc to run a 1500 watt 5k peak invertor this has no issues at all. Runs the invertor that has 1 t.v _1 nvr[network video recorder]/6 cameras 2021 IP motor controled and a router dosnt even flinch. I have buddies that bought some at marine/boat store over 200 bucks and they have issues

Delivery was slow (maybe due to trade wars with China), but hooked it in and it worked great. Just wish wires were heavier gauge.

Well constructed
I have a 24v battery bank and needed this unit to connect a 300w,12v Samlex power inverter. It's been a few months now and I've had no issues with it. The casing is fairly compact and the unit appears to be well constructed. Mine came without the labels on the cables. No biggie. The connection diagram is on the underside of the casing. Just make sure that you connect the unit before securing it to a flat surface.

Dangerous?
The product is advertised to support 40A on the load side. All 4 wires are aluminum, the 12V "out" wires are 10 gauge. 10 AWG copper would support 30A. But 10 AWG aluminum supports only 25A. I think if one would push 360+ Watts through those wires for extended enough time, it would catch fire. There are some reviews stating fire. I am thinking of returning the unit. Or never use more than 25A (300 Watts).

Reliable
Being a sealed unit with no fan makes this much more reliable than other units of the same capacity. This replaced a larger size unit I had with a fan and works just as well.
