The over the shoulder strap is too thin!
I used this bag everyday since I got it and no matter which way I turned it the strap would did in to my shoulder. I tried getting aftermarket pads, but they look funky and the thinner pad would not stay in place. I would return this bag if I had not used for so long. I have purchased other Travelon products and have been greatly satisfied and wanted badly to like this one. All the pockets and compartments were helpful, but it was too uncomfortable to wear, especially if you were carrying a water bottle.

Heavy on shoulder when packed
I wanted to love this bag with the side pockets for a water bottle but once I had it packed for a test run before my trip to Europe, I found that it was heavy on my shoulder.* The water bottle on the side pocket threw the weight distribution off, regardless of which side you carry your water bottle on. I tested it with a standard 16 oz. plastic water bottle, not even the insulated bottle I'm hoping to take. In the end, I think I'm going with a smaller Travelon bag and a Rick Steve's Civita day pack for the water bottle, jacket, umbrella. *Packed w 2 pairs of glasses, small travel wallet, small sanitizer, 2 pens, 2 lipstick, powder compact, contact case, passport, power bar.

This travel bag looks very nice and has a very good security feature. I returned it because it was a little bulky for me. In addition I am looking for a travel bag with double main compartments. This one only one. It has other zippered compartments, however they are smaller.
