Best socks I’ve ever owned.

Many athletic sock brands make boasts about cushion. These are crazy money, but they are also the thickest cotton socks I’ve ever owned.

Get next size up if on the border

Looking for ankle socks as thick as Smartwool heavy. These are medium thickness at best. Will keep as I will use but not for indendent use

Comfortable socks

I wear these socks almost everyday. They are thick and comfortable and don’t move. They look really good, too. Highly recommend!!!

seem ok

I'm on my last seasonal thorlos from around 2007-'10. I wanted to buy the same thickness style color but thorlos doesn't make those socks anymore. This is as close as i could find for moderate-cold weather use. These are thicker and have thicker cushion than i prefer but these are still usable. I can't compare to anything else since i've only used this brand for all seasons. I recently had to contact thorlos customer service for other style socks. They respond on social media telling me to email customer service. My emails to customer service remain unanswered.

Seem to be sized for women

My husband could barely stretch these socks over his feet, although we double-checked and the size said they were a men's large. They fit me fine and they're comfortable socks, so it wasn't a total waste, but I didn't need them and my husband did. He really likes the Thorlos running socks because of the cushioning and comfort, and he's never had a problem with sizing in those- just with these hiking socks.

Do these EVER wear out?

I bought these because my husband's Thorlos were ~10 years old, and in great shape. Thorlos are all he wears, but he was wearing mid-calf socks with his boat shoes. He frequently goes outside wearing only socks. (No shoes, but other clothes!). They don't even pick up bits of leaves and twigs like my soft socks do - I've tossed several pairs of mine because the junk wouldn't come out in the wash. Never had that happen with his. I bought these low rise socks for him, but they were so small he couldn't wear them. Lucky me!

Absolutely comfortable and stay that way!

You know how nice a cotton sock feels that first time you wear it, but just gets worse every time after? Thorlos continue to feel that comfortable for many more wearings. I have been using their socks for many years on many adventures and I can not recommend them more highly. While sheep hunting in Alaska I have crossed streams and had my boots completely fill with water and within an hour of mid 50’s temperatures the Thorlos wicked completely dry. Buy the design for your activity and you will not be disappointed.
