Size issues

My son is 4'9" 100-105lbs and where the band of his pants sits is 33.5". I got the 12s after reading reviews about the shorts being a bit bigger than expected. They just fit him. He probably needed the 14s to have some growing room. The shorts hit him just below the knee cap. The sizing chart in the picture scroll is a terrible thing because my kid is only 8. He's a giant so I can never follow anything that doesn't provide the measurements of the band. I hope me providing his measurement helps some other mom with a kid who doesn't follow typical age sizes. My kid likes them and he is the type of kid who would rather wear gym shorts or joggers so these get a 5 star even with the size needed not being clear.

My son is 6 and linky, most shorts go above the knees but these go below the knee and the elastic waist band is so helpful, I will buy again

These are way too long for a typical six year old. They reach way down to his shins.

These are good quality shorts for a three-year-old I ordered them just a little bit big but I am so glad that they have the adjustable strap in the voice waste band and I like the links that they are on him they are just so cute I may order him some different colored ones so he can have for more than four days he could have an eight day supply thank you Amazon

Too Long

Shorts I bought for 12 year old son are size 12. These are way too long but made well. I also bought another set from somewhere else size 12 and they are just right. U.S. boys don't need them so big.
