Very Deceiving

I really like these Ryka Walking shoes - this is why I ordered a second pair. When my package arrived, I noticed that a label had been removed from the top of shoe box. When I opened the box I see that there is no packing material - no tissue paper, shoe supports or cardboard. The soles of both shoes are dirty, the laces are set for everyday wear - not "new shoe" laces. Clearly these have been used! If the original purchase I made was "Used" - I did not see that. This item on my Orders page reads "Condition - New". These shoes I received are NOT new. I am still deciding if I want to keep them or send them back.

Not the best style of Ryka if you need good arch support

The arch support is too small and it’s a separate piece from the main insole so it feels awkward on my feet. I have been ordering Rykas for years because I have a wide foot in the front, narrow in the back and I require good arch support, also I gravitate toward the taupe/tan colored suede shoes because they coordinate with almost everything I wear and they’re not flashy. Ryka shoes are light and airy which is perfect in Florida weather. Unfortunately, this Sky Walk model is made differently than other similar styles that I have had in the past regarding arch support and it doesn’t work for me. I have ordered the Kara style in mink brown to see if the arch is part of the main insole and not a separate piece. I hope they fit because I would hate to have to look elsewhere since Ryka has served me well for a long time.

Great walking sneakers

I have fat flat feet with little to no arch. These sneakers are extremely comfortable. I walk in average about 15-20 miles a week.

Ryka is my GO TO for comfort

Had been looking for a new pair of Rykas to replace the pair that I had worn out from walking 5 miles daily. I've found that all shoes by this company do NOT fit the same, but if you have the patience to find the style that does fit, you won't be disappointed. I will admit that these are a tiny bit more narrow than the ones I have worn faithfully for two or three years (Yikes!!), but it is only because the Ryka Nova (no longer made) was UBER wide and I had gotten used to all that space. I've now been walking and working out in these Ryka SkyWalks for about 3 weeks and I love them. The more narrow toe box (compared to my old Novas) actually feels like support; they are not at all uncomfortable. There is a memory foam insert that can be removed (with a little pulling); I have to do this to add my orthotics. But I could see where it could be very comfortable for someone who does not need to wear orthotics. Great energy return through the heel, too! I plan to be a Ryka girl for a long time!

Very comfortable, offers little arch support. Would be great if you have flat feet.

Wide fitting runners

I always have problems finding wide enough shoes. I will certainly look to this brand for any future requirements.
