Accuracy is based on how steady you can hold it.

The Bushnell is lighter than the first one I ordered. At my age weight is a factor when trying to hold something in front of me. It is a little easier to hold steady when trying to get a reading. Use it mostly at the driving range.

Gift for disc golfer

Unfortunately, the battery that shipped with this product was dead. As a result, the person receiving this gift was a bit upset. Since I don't golf, I didn't try it before. Egg on my face with this gift. Unfortunate situation for me as the person who gave the gift.

As advertised

Everything they advertised. Get a case for it. I was playing and getting a feel for distances just between different sized holes (180ft, 260ft, 330ft, etc) if there was a tee sign. This has been a great training tool to spot distances without it (I don't feel like pulling it out EVERY hole, that's too much) AND learn my arm power to disc mold to distance feel. Great gift for someone or yourself.

Works well, gives useful info, especially on new courses.

Watching youtube tourney coverage, Paul Ulibarri wore me down...Got this and really enjoy using it. It's a little sensitive and so I always take a few quick readings. If you "miss" basket or your target (tree, etc.) you'll get surprising reading. I like the elevation it shows too, though that it often easy to gauge just by looking. A decent handheld 8X optical aid to look at birds (or a tall pine looking for that errant throw). Has probably saved me a few throws already. Nice to know distance of a "fairway ace" without walking it off!

Nice gift

Bought this ranger for our grandson for Christmas. He was so excited when he saw it and starter measuring distances in the house! It was worth the price!

Knowledge is Power

I’m a daily disc golfer and although not a professional, I put a lot of time and energy into the sport and into becoming a better player. As time has gone on, the distance I can reach with each type of disc has changed. “Should I throw my mid-range or my putter for this shot”- and without knowing the exact distance, I may under or over estimate the distance it actually is which completely changes my disc choice. The Range finder is light, easy to use, and accurate! It has completely changed the way I play a course. It definitely gives me an advantage to know exactly how far my shots can go and how far the basket is. Don’t get me wrong, this range finder hasn’t suddenly made me a better player, it just makes me a more knowledgeable player!

Disc golf go to

I bought this for my boyfriend to use during disc golf. It shows distance in feet instead of yards. He really likes to check his distance to the pin for more accurate throws, and this little helper did that! Be aware that this doesn't come with any kind of case, so you might want to get one to keep it safe in your bag.

Battery Cap

The TOUR V5/V5 Shift battery cap fits this model. Overall it's a great product. I don't know if it's a design defect or of it was my fault but the battery cap was just gone one day. For the live of me I couldn't find a replacement for it. I rolled the dice and purchased the Tour V5/V5 Shift and it fits. Don't buy one from eBay or Amazon because they are over $20. If you go to Bushnell, they are like $5.99. it was shipped via FedEx so I had it in like 3 days. Your welcome.
