Insulting Customer Service from Sure-Loc, Poorly Made Screws

I have three of the privacy levers, and four passage levers installed in my house. Initially I really liked the price and the aesthetic, and was even impressed with the overall build quality for a $40 lever. I ran into some problems, though. The design of the privacy levers causes the lock-drum to unscrew and fall out frequently. The design is also rather counter-intuitive, and guests frequently have trouble figuring out the privacy lock relative to a traditional push-button mechanism. Additionally, after un-installing one of the privacy levers, the screw broke off inside of the lock housing, making it impossible to re-install. I knew that these had a lifetime warranty on parts and mechanism, so I contacted Sure-Loc. Despite explaining the situation, and the customer support representative acknowledging that because of the screw broken off in the lock housing that I couldn't re-install it, they tried to convince me that it was somehow my fault, and kept saying, "I've never heard of that happening before", totally dismissing the issue that I was having in an insulting tone and referring me to their warranty page as if I were some drone. They also kept offering to send me a new screw, multiple times, despite the fact that I'd explained to them that it was impossible to insert a new one, or remove the existing one. After requesting to speak with the customer service rep's manager, she refused multiple times, insisting "well I just talked to my manager", and then after putting me on hold for a moment, told me that her manager refused to speak with me, and parroted again that I should just refer to the warranty page, which actually seemed to support my point more than theirs. The whole affair, caused by Sure-Loc using a crappy $0.005 zinc screw instead of a well-manufactured one, and then refusing to send a replacement mechanism for the unusable half of the lock seems like pathologically poor customer service, and abusive internal business culture to me. I absolutely won't be purchasing any further products from Sure-Loc, and will likely be replacing all of the ones that I currently have installed. Very disappointing considering that I liked the aesthetics of the product.
