Employed as a urine jug in separating/composting/desiccating toilet

This one fit the bill, so I ordered it when I was unable to source anything suitable locally. Upon receipt, I discovered some sharp edges where the halves of the jug joined. I used a Dremel tool with a rotary rasp, a utility knife, and some carefully applied sandpaper to eliminate the sharp edges. I’m generally pleased with my purchase despite the addition effort required to help fulfill its greatest potential. Now I’m gonna piss in it.

I'm not adding to plastic trash!

I love this 2 gallon plastic bottle. I refill it at my local market for $.49 a gallon! It's lightweight even when full and easy to carry. Also much less expensive than bottled water and a lot less waste for the planet

Not intended for wine fermentations

I purchased this jug thinking that it might be useful as an intermediate volume between a 1 gallon glass jug and a 3 gallon water bottle, which is often sold for use in wine making. Unfortunately, the bottle has inscribed: "for water use only" which is probably a good thing because the handle would be very hard to clean if this were used for wine. Also, if you DO want to use it for wine, be advised that it requires a #8 stopper with a hole for the air lock. I have kept it because often when racking a 3- or 5-gallon bottle, I have more than 1 but less than 2 gallons left over - but I have not used it.

Water bottle

Water bottle - I previously ordered a 3 gallon bottle and had it sitting on a small table. I kept knocking into the table until one day it fell on the floor hit the edge and cracked the bottle open so I had to gallons of water all over my floor. I ordered this 2 gallon bottle with a longer neck. It holds the dispenser without knocking it off. And it’s it’s fine in the plant stand that I ordered for it. Very happy with the product so far.

Plastic feels/sounds like it will break easily

We purchased the 3 gallon and love it but it's a bit heavy so we decided to try this 2 gallon one. It' s the same brand but the 2 gallon is made of a different plastic that feels less sturdy. It's harder and sounds brittle (though it hasn't leaked yet). It feels like it will break much easier than the 3 gallon one because it's made of a thinner but harder plastic. ALSO, they keep changing the price! There is no reason for the price to fluctuate by a couple dollars every few days. It is already over priced for what it is. And just our luck, we bought it on the day before it dropped in price by a few dollars.
