Leakproof but spout breaks easily
I've now purchased 3 BUILT brand water bottles in the last two months for my daughter to take to school with her. The first two broke in the exact same way/spot - the spout (see picture). They are definitely leakproof, which is critical for carrying to school. But if the spout breaks on bottle #3, I'm going to try a different brand. I've even checked the BUILT website to see if I could purchase a replacement lid, but no luck. I love the little carrying handle, and the bottle is easy to wash. I'd recommend for adults, but it just can't seem to stand up to an average school day for a 5th grader.

Easiest to use one-handed, plus no sucking and sipping.
I love: Easy to fill with ice due to wide mouth. Seals very tightly. Easy to carry with spout unscrewed for one-handed operation. Drinking cap separate from carry handle so you can open and drink with one hand. Slightly narrowed neck makes bottle easy to grip. No more sucking and sipping. You can get a good gulp if you like through the 3/4" wide spout, then just flip the lid closed to protect contents. Easy to clean! Hygienic stainless steel interior. Fits in standard cup holder (hurray, finally!) Keeps cold drinks really cold if chilled in fridge before use (haven't used it for hot beverages yet). Many fewer and less complicated lid parts than other bottles. I found these in the kids section of a brick and mortar store (only difference is 16 oz. capacity vs. 20 oz. adult).) I have two that I've used for a couple of months and LOVE them so much that I'm ordering two of the 20 oz. bottles. They are really beautiful, too.

Solid water bottle
This is a fantastic water bottle that keeps drinks cold for hours on end. I have personally tested this with ice water two days later and still found frozen ice inside. It is sturdy it is strong the plastic cover is made out of high density plastic that will not fade or crack and you feel that you can drop this down concrete stairs and not have an inkling of worry that this will get damaged. That's why it makes it to my son's backpack and survive school and recess and a school bus ride daily.

Love the lid options but wish just a little bigger for me
I have several other Built products, mostly laptop/tablet sleeves, and have always been pleased with them. The Built Stainless Steel Water Bottle lives up to the reputation. I'm used to at least a 24 to 30 oz bottle, and this is only 20 oz, so I have to refill it more often than usual. The bottle has a beautiful finish and is sized to fit in my hand quite comfortably. I can place 10 full sized ice cubes (regular ice cube tray size) in the bottle prior to filling. Even with repeated fillings with tap cold water, I didn't add additional cubes for about for about 8 hrs - and really because I like lots of ice in my water. There are still ice cubes and cold water 13 hours later when I get home on my long days. I love the optional lid. When it's off, there is no issue getting full size cubes into the bottle. something a lot of the steel water bottles can not do. Since I'm using this at work, the ability to just have the "sip" spout open helps eliminate how much water get spilled when knocked over. (Hasn't happened yet but know it will at some time.) Unlike my Camelback bottles, there is no sweating and co-workers appreciate the lack of water rings. I don't not put hot drinks into my water bottles - I use the travel mugs for anything hot, so I can't give any report on how long liquids stay hot. The little handle attached to the lid makes it easy to hook onto a finger when carrying a bunch of stuff but not sure how sturdy it is - it seems like it would be the first thing to break but I guess it will be determined by how rough you treat the bottle. This would work very well for attaching to a backpack or even a stroller. I received this as part of the Vine program but this is my honest opinion. I would recommend the Built water bottle but check the size. If you are used to a larger bottle, get a bigger one. For office work, this is a great size. Especially (if you are a klutz like me & tend to knock bottles over) around laptops and keyboards.

The style is sort of boring
Great cup, hold the temp, keeps our drinks cool for a long time just as expected. I just feel the black is sort of dull and could be better looking compared to all the other thermos on the market. My son is using this for school since it's just the right size for his school backpack side pockets and I just bought some stickers so he can sticker it up and his only request was a black water bottle so he could do that since that is popular right now. We have many other with the screw lid and as long as the seal inside stays inside these are very secure as long as it's screwed shut otherwise they will leak.

Beverages hot or cold for hours; chug style great for someone exercising or hard at work...
This is a rugged, well made stainless steel water-bottle. I ordered this for my husband to use when he is working out in the yard or in his workshop. We are still in the heat of summer and it is hot out there and sometimes he forgets to drink as much water as he should. He uses this for water or iced tea and he likes that his drink is kept cold and that he can take as big a swig as he wants when he gets thirsty. Cold beverages stay icy until the next day. When cool weather rolls around I can fill it with coffee or hot tea and know it will stay warm for hours. I rinse the bottle with boiling water, let it rest for a minute, then pour it out and add the beverage. This seems to extend the time the drink will stay hot by at least an hour or two (hot beverages stay hot for a couple of hours, warm for a couple more). The insulated bottle has a 20 ounce capacity which keeps him going for a couple of hours before needing to be refilled. It isn't heavy or bulky and the swing-type handle makes it easy to carry. The red color makes it easy to spot since he forgets where he set it down. It has a fairly wide mouth so it is easy to wash. The current price of $20.82 seems reasonable for this well made, high quality vacuum bottle.
