The fawn is beautiful but the finish comes right off

This fawn statue is beautiful and my favorite feature are the eyes. However when it arrived the eyes were not as glossy as they should be and seemed to be hazy like it had been out in the sun for an extended period. Also the ears looked like the finish was worn but it was hard to tell if that's what it actually was or if it was the artist intention to have it look that way. I decided to keep it thinking I can re-gloss the eyes myself, not what I had planned on doing but so be it. I placed it out on my patio in a shady corner. Within a week noticed that the black finish was coming off on the nose. I don't know what kind of paint is used on this but it definitely isn't anything of quality considering I had only owned it for 10 days and it was on display in a protected shady area. There may have been a bird that landed on the nose or a chipmunk but other than that nothing had touched it. Once again this is something I will fix on my own but the point is I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO! My suggestion would be to anyone else considering on buying this that you may want to spray a clear coat over it before displaying it to protect it.

Precious little fawn

Michael Carr creations are always almost life-like, and this fawn is no exception. I gave this five stars in spite of the first one arriving with the head broken off (probably during some rough handling during shipping). The return was easy and the replacement arrived very promptly, so it was shipped almost immediately upon my notifying Amazon of the damaged product. I have only had the statue for a few days, so I don't know how it will hold up in the elements (it is in an outdoor garden area), but so far, I am very pleased with the fawn and impressed with the replacement process with Amazon.

Smaller Than It’s Supposed To Be!

The actual look of this is pretty good, it’s nicely done- BUT not even close to the advertised size! There is no way this is anywhere near 16inches in any possible direction. So if you buy expect it to be smaller than you think! It’s ok for our project, so we’re going to keep it, but we were disappointed with the size.

Incredibly lifelike. Adds so much tranquil charm to my garden. Not your average garden sculpture, a true work of art.
