Where have you been all my life.
This product is an amazing cleanup timesaver. Simple design, durable, and easy to use. Fits common sized sanding sponges. No more dust everywhere when sanding drywall. Use with a strong shopvac that has a dust filter.

Ok, but not great.
Better than nothing, but cumbersome. Hose should be more flexible.

Sponge size
Good idea and works as intended accept the sponge size is smaller then the average hardware store so u now have to cut them to size and that's a problem for the angle sponge also wish it came with a longer hose attachment this would be a 5 star if they made it fit the bigger sanding sponges

Awesome design bad hose works good
This product is a 5 star for design and function for the small jobs and the homeowner that is decent at mudding but certainly does not tape for a living. The hose that comes with is only 3' and stiff. If you decide to use their stiff hose, consider taping it to your forearm to have control or your hose will always be rubbing the wall. I used an old 5 gallon Shop-Vac hose that's longer and flexible. It is my opinion that this should be hooked to a Shop-Vac that is 10 gallons or better to really suck like it owes you ????. Don't purchase this if your trying to hook it to a little baby vac. Generic 8 pack sanding sponges on Amazon fit this perfectly without cutting them like you may find on the 3M ones but remember that most all sanding will be done with fine grit paper. They do last a really long time. Sandpaper and it's drywall mud, not furniture, they last plenty. Recommend you always run a bag in your vacuum (unless wet) and they have a 10 pack on Amazon also that work just great. $3 a bag, come on. DeWalt shop vac from Costco is a bang for your buck.

Essential little tool
This is a must have for small to medium size remodels or repairs that require sanding of drywall compounds. I personally used this for a master closet remodel. If you’ve ever sanded drywall compound you know how much fine dust gets kicked around. If you’ve never done it before trust me you’re going to want a product like this. I picked this because I don’t have a large need for this type of tool and the size and space savings was worth it to me over the larger units with extension poles etc. I’m usually hesitant with a tool this inexpensive.. you get what you pay for.. with this you get more. Makes cleanup super simple and prevents almost ever dust particle. Even when you invert the handle (may be necessary in certain areas, depending on the project) the suction is still able to pull the dust against gravity for a dust free job. Obviously still follow normal safety with mask and glasses. I was surprised at how well the product worked for the price. Granted I had a clean vacuum and a brand new filter, but this little thing is great. The cover fits nice in the hand and allows flat even pressure. I was able to complete the project with one of the included pads so I can’t comment on the fit of replacement pads. If the compound is cured correctly the pads should last a long time.

Works well on vertical surface, but not on horizontal surface
I bought the unit to sand drywall. It works very well on the wall, but is somewhat difficult to use on the ceiling. The lack of a hand hold makes it hard to sand ceilings and dust does not get collected as well in the hole near the vacuum hose connection. I like using a sanding sponge on drywall, but the vacuum capability could use improvement.

It's...ok
What I like: It's light. Good for final sanding. What I don't like: In order for it to pull the dust. I have to drill holes in my sponge. It takes an odd size sponge. The hose is not long enough. Find it hard to use for corners. For the price I paid. It's ok.

uses non standard sanding sponges
It's just a simple piece of plastic but it works. It helps to suck up the dust and leaves less of a mess. when sanding drywall. I don't like the hose as its super stiff and hard to work with but luckily my vacuum hose could connect directly to the sander and its much more soft and maneuverable so its easier to use. It sucks up dust from the sides of the sander and since the sanding sponge sits proud of the holder it does not get suctioned to the wall. Great invention. One bit negative is that it does not fit standard sponges, they are too long and you have to cut off about 1/2" for it to fit.

Works
Such a simple idea but it works! I paint for other for my second income and winter season is my biggest problem. This is where all my works stops due to cold (can’t work on garage). This winter, I decided to do smaller stuff in my basement but I still had the problem polluting my basement and eventually home with dust. This is a big NO NO for me. I decided to give it a try and purchased this. Used yeasterday with my shop vac and it picked up dust beautifully, no duct clouds from hand sanding. The hose could be more flexible and a bit longer to make this a better quality item but for the price it works very well!

Sand without any mess!
It's amazing that people complain about the hose hitting the wall, when the alternative is to have dust EVERYWHERE while sanding. I bought this because I saw it with a contractor, and it saved my eyes, nose, and throat. The best part is that I didn't need a mask, which fogs up my glasses!

Highly recommend
Great tool. Drill some holes in sponges and even better. Finally something that works with no mess for small sanding jobs. For replacements - Can cut regular sanding sponge to fit this easy.

Pretty efficient
This is mostly for small surfaces, corners, . It does the job better after drilling some holes in the sponge to increase the suction, as recommended by other buyers. The connector to the vacuum cleaner could be improved as it does not support my Ridgid hose. Had to tape it. And the hose could be a feet longer and less rigid. I didn't need to wear a mask and it's quite lightweight. For large surface, you'd better go with the larger model from the same company.

Better than the mesh screen hand vacuum sanders
LOVE this. But replaced the hose with a more flexible double-length shop vac hose. The block itself is light, and I did a mod that another buyer suggested, which was to drill 6 holes through the sponge to aid dust pickup, and flipped it over regularly to keep both sides clear. I also held part of the hose in my other hand which took that weight off my sanding hand, making it nearly light as a feather to use up on my ceiling. It really peels off the drywall compound. I sanded 3 /4 of our large loft's second coat of drywall and only now think a new sponge is in order. This is just much better than the vacuum sander that uses mesh screens, NO GRID LINES!!
